Unstable?

I work with a guy who thinks that gay people are mentally unstable.  That is why they are gay according to him.  He does not believe that it is something that they are born with in any way.  It is always the choice of a mentally unstable mind.  For religious reasons he does not believe that gay people should get married either

Some people still have issues with interracial marriage and that really sucks. It is getting less and less common though, and thats good. I figure gay marriage will go the same way. From a major split to just a few idiots who don't like it, and not liking being a safe sign they are not only misguided but an idiot.

I agree with baronsamedi. I got some resistance from my family for dating the crazy from Bermuda at first. They got over the race issues
pretty quickly. Granted they had plenty to take issue with with the crazy,
but intelligent people usually go through a process. If they aren't already fine with a "new societal movement," they usually come around quickly when confronted by it.

But even from a religious standpoint, I can't understand how my thoughts on religion have any bearing on if/how another couple can be together or raise/adopt children, etc.

It's an intellectual evolution...and sadly evolution takes time.

Well it isn't just how they raise their children. Its that other children see them being gay and might be gay too because of that. You know, something like that. Wow and that's a real belief that he really has.
