Fully Clothed
Are genders really that different or is it just an enforced difference put into us by external forces for reasons I don’t understand? People like different things I understand that, but I just can’t get into caring about clothing, especially shoes. I have to get dressed every day, so it is no big deal.
I don’t understand shoes. Women love shoes. Well, many women love shoes anyway, in a way that I can’t comprehend. At work, two of them will meet and one may have new shoes which she must show to the other. The conversation usually goes like this;
“Hey, look at my new shoes!”
“Oh those are adorable where did you get them?”
“I got them at All Shoes Considered they were on sale!”
“Oh did they have them in light purple with a buckle? I have an outfit that would go with that.”
“No but I have a pair of shoes I don’t wear anymore that are violet with a buckle.”
“Really I have a pair of heels that are violet.”
“Blah blah blah blah blah.”
“Oh blah blah, blah blah blah, blah blah blah.”
Cause I’ve managed to unlisten by that point. Yeah I said unlisten. So I just can’t get into the shoe conversation. Really any clothing based conversation is outside of my experience. If someone at work asks me about my clothing it goes something like this.
“Where did you get that shirt?”
“At my house, it was in a box as a Christmas present.”
And that’s it, cause I don’t go shopping for clothes. I may have to though. Even my clothes eventually wear out. I think I’m just going to buy all black though.
Maybe I don’t take enough pride in my appearance. Is that it, a pride thing? I don’t have time for Pride anyway, I have way too much Wrath to even think about the other Six.
