So we went to Worlds. We didn't make finals, but I thought we had a pretty decent show. The weekend was pretty fun (there were quite a bit of shenanigans). Said shenanigans included:
*buying a bra for one of the tenors, which he did, in fact, wear in the lot
*same tenor player doing a striptease for us in the pool, involving the bra
*the adventures of Cedric, our gnome away from home!
*going to the tattoo parlor
*Nathan and the snares drowning their sorrows in zebra cakes, because, as we all know, it was all their fault haha
*as per tradition, shoving an obscene amount of people into a hot tub
There was, however, a lot of drama this weekend, mainly concerning a certain individual who really needs to keep his horrible opinions to himself. There have been multiple times this season where I have wanted to punch him in the face (and I am not the only one), and this weekend just kind of brought that to a climax. Needless to say, we are pretty sure said individual is not welcome in Motor City Percussion next year.
I got another cartilage piercing, as well as my earlobes. I had my lobes done, and redone, before, but each time I had them pierced, they were ridiculously uneven (I blame this on going to Claire's), so I had the piercing guy do them professionally. I also got the cartilage on my right ear pierced, to match the left one I got last year. 6 of us got piercings, including the FoodLady, which was fantastic. :D
My left cartliage piercing has been hurting lately. I put in a 16 gage, when I have an 18 piercing, so Ralph thinks, rather than just stretching it, I might have torn it. It'll heal, but it's just going to be a bitch until then.
I took my American History final today, which I think I did pretty well on. I really only needed a B to get an A overall in the class. I also turned in a paper for that class, as well as one for my Medieval History class. Now, I just have to finish my paper about Reagan and the Cold War (7-10 pages, due tomorrow), and take a final in my Detroit class on Friday, then I am done with school for the summer! I might take an online class or two over at 'Scraft over the summer.
I really don't want to go home after work. I know I need to, because I have to work on my paper, but I'm getting my cabin fever back from when I was sick.
Well, I gotta go get my work done for the night. I really don't do anything until after the store closes, because I'll just have to do it again later (like take the mail out to be sent).
