that looks really good. im guilty of desaturating :/ but then again point and shoot cameras dont leave you with much options. what kind of camera do you have? i know you told me a loooonng time ago.

The camera I was using up until around 2 weeks ago was a Nikon 5600 point-and-shoot. We just upgraded to a Nikon D70S DSLR with some good lenses. I'm still learning the settings trying to get the vivid shots that some other people get.

Like some of the guides say, you can get amazing photos regardless of what the camera is, it is all in technique, lighting, subject and luck. I took around 200 photos this past weekend and only got ONE that I thought really stood out and a couple that were pretty decent.

I was guilty of desaturating too. But I was looking at some black and white photos on Flickr and had to know how they got them to look so much better. So, I started reading up. This one was done fairly easy. It still isn't perfect, but I liked it. Photoshop is my friend! :)
