Hello! It has been a while. It seems that life has been quite busy for you of recent. Your want to help these families caught my eye and sparked an idea. Perhaps you could get a small fund going... private of course, non-profit. The holidays are very difficult for people, especially those struggling financially. People are naturally generous, and they will stretch their budgets until their wallet snaps at the seams buying gifts for the little ones. My thought is that you could set up a small thing focused on just getting these families a little bit of holiday money, allowing them to splurge on the kids without having to worry about being able to pay the heating bill. I would certainly give twenty dollars or so to such a cause, and I know that the generosity of people could really show in something like this. Just an idea... I hope that things are not too hectic for you. Peace be with you!

Hi! Sorry about the delay in my response!

Your idea is awesome, because as I found out, at work we do have a small fund like that, generally it's us donating some money, but there is also some really great community resources. There's one called the Santa fund, where families can apply for some cash for gifts and another called the Elf Tree, where families can go and hang the ages and sex of their kiddos and people will come take a slip, and buy for that kiddos and bring the gift back.

Thank you so much for taking a interest! Sometimes I forget that people really are good and want to help others. :) Hope your holiday's and all that they involve are going well.

No worries in the delay, life happens; I know this. I find it to be fantastic news that your place of work takes such interest in the community that surrounds them. That's quite an admirable gesture on their part, and it should be recognized on a grander scale.
My holidays are something that I look forward to, though my shopping is far from done (dammit!) I hope that you have a most splendid holiday season. Enjoy!
