Q for Quest prompt by
rambleinblue Reid angrily glared at the telephone as, for the hundredth time, it rang within the short span of four hours. Did Morgan have ANY idea what that did to his head?! He glared harder.
For a moment he thought about his own quest for vengeance. He could easily-easily-destroy the foundation to any number of Morgan’s properties, but all the same, that wouldn’t change that he now had to get a new phone. Hotch had quickly cooled his outburst at the unsuspecting reporter, but he knew the phone wouldn’t stop ringing.
No, not until he foisted the number on some other poor bastard by returning it to the pool of numbers.
As he contemplated sadistic forms of vengeance and whimsical forms of vengeance, Hotch realized he would have to go cell-phone shopping with his lover who really was anything but a fan of ‘bells and whistles’ gadgets.
He knew getting a recommendation for a phone that would come from Garcia would include no less than eight apps for locating a kidnapped field agent, so that wouldn’t do. He sighed, no, to do this right, he’d have to do the leg work.
The quest would be a difficult one, to find a phone that would meet Reid’s expectations of limited invasiveness but still pull him a bit further from the last century. Maybe he could convince his lover that a texting phone would give him the ability to send messages in his more beloved format of written word. He doubted he’d ever convince his lover with an IQ of 187 that a smart phone was actually intelligible by design.
