i think i switched churches cus i got too much of that crap at ccv though.
don't get me wrong i love it there but some people didn't seem like they were even there for God.
and i hate when people are obnoxious during worship.
i totally get what you're saying in this post though <3

I agree 100%, there are obnoxious people who go there and don't even go for the right reasons. But we're teenagers, you except it ALL to be about God when how many people go there? Personally, I wouldn't want to switch churches because I've been to others, and this place really hits me. Not only the youth group, but the actual church service itself for the adults. I love it. And I'm not like "CCV IS THE ONLY CHURCH WHO KNOWS WHAT'S GOIN ON" cus that's ridiculous and I those people need to shut their traps.

yeah.
i think people should go where they feel they get touched the most.
why go to a church that's small and quiter if you don't feel as close to God there.
although i think i need to learn how to worship God better outside of church.

Exactly, I know what you're saying. I like to worship with all of my friends with music that appeals to me. We aren't trying to "suck the youth in with punk rock music", do you really think that kids would go if it was all operaish? I feel like not only am I worshipping God, but all of my friends are with me when I'm at CCV. All this cult talk is bull crap. AH I have so much to say about this topic!

wow go vanessa! u defend your God! I'm sort of glad that someone wrote that article when i get past the negative part of it, b/c for those who ask about it, it gives us a chance to defend ourselves and our OPEN beliefs. We're just out there caring for others and whoever finds out how wrong that article is, will have a good chance at respecting us more for it. Sometimes disagreement is good. I just know we love God and we're helping others with all we have, what more can we do? You're awesome babe, and u haven't wronged me, i don't know neone u have actually. And don't try to make me sound like I don't dislike anybody cus I do and whoever they are.. THEY KNOW IT. lol But everyone deserves a second chance and hope they'll let me have it. I think you're right about the article being a good thing. Maybe we can get Caitlin Ott or Ashley Rodriguez to write something back? There will always be controversy over it and that sucks because it's sad. But... what can ya do? We can only plant the seed... God will take care of the rest.

V I totally agree with you. That article just made us look even worse than people already think we are. If she had really thought about what the girl was saying(although I don't think it's right to walk up to someone and tell them they're going to hell, it's not their place) she may have learned something. I get what you're saying, but the thing is, the girl misunderstood what the other person was saying. Today Kelsey VanTussenbrooke said that she knows the person who said it and they totally turned the words around in the article. And even Paul knew about it and talked about it tonight at church, I think whoever said that to the Erica girl e-mailed Paul the story. I just think these people need to find something else to do then spend their time bashing us and get a life.
