Sigh. You know, it's very easy to criticize your parents, especially when you are a teenager and living at home, and are full of these "issues" that don't really mean much, but you have to give them creedence for some reason or the other. But you're right; when it comes down to it, your parents sacrifice a whole lot for you, and it really is up to you to at the very least make them feel that it was well-deserved. My parents pretty much took the same path as yours; they worked 3 jobs each (along with their office jobs, they were actually janitors for a few months at some point, in a laundromat), and scrimped and saved money, and are living through a very unhappy marriage just in order to make sure my sister and I get all the options we can. And after reading your post, I, too, feel that I haven't done all that I can to make all the effort and sacrifice worth it. And we all really do have it good, too. Sigh.
