Your Theme Song

There are people who read this journal, besides me. However, there has been a severe drought in commenting (almost none). THERRFORE I pose this entry as a question. What is your theme song? What song is YOU? if you can't narrow it down to one then write however many you want.

Chris, you're probably going to beat me senseless for this comment, but the truth is that I can't think of any one song, nor any large group of songs, that defines me in any way. Categorization is not my forte, as most of you know, and I just don't think I can condense everything I know about myself into three-and-a-half minutes of versechorusversechorusbridgechoruschorus, into stanzas of someone else's poetry.

If I tried to do so, I'd either pry myself into the framework of a song that didn't really fit, or bend the framework around me. Both would result in discomfort.

Call me hyperintellectual, say I'm missing the point, say that I don't really get it. You're probably right. Still, the fact remains that if, indeed, I could sum myself up in such a manner, if that song exists somewhere on the horizon, then I wholeheartedly hope that I am the one to write it.

I was judging at Grapevine all weekend, so I am slow to respond. I suppose the songs that "are me" would be as follows:

AFI - Clove Smoke Catharsis
Cold - Bleed

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I really don't know you, but I feel it my civic duty to respond to your call for theme music.

That being said, I really don't have a definite theme song. I enjoy any music which elicits an aura of reflection. If I have to choose one, I'd have to say "Forrest Gump Suite" on the Forrest Gump soundtrack.

Oops, I had assumed you were a friend of hers, sorry. She's "oggie" here on LiveJournal.
