In the horror game that I'm running I've set it up so that each session is like an episode of a series. (helps a lot when you're not sure quite which players will be around each night).
Just for my own amusement here's a write-up of the first season.

A scenic neighborhood in New Philadelphia, PA is suffering from violent pranks. As the attacks become more serious the townsfolk are looking at the one house that hasn't been hit: an old woman with unusual beliefs. Can the Society find out what is going on before vigilantism starts?
Angel of Mercy
The Society must find out why people in an elder care facility are suddenly dying, and what connection there is to a ghostly nun that appeared on the security tapes?
The Return of Mr. Rothschild
A young man in Boston's social elite has inherited the family business. But now he is beginning to act like his infamous great-grandfather. As strange incidents continue to mount it is up to the Oracle Society to solve the mystery and save a soul.
The Deck
A run-down gambling den in Boston's Chinatown is suddenly irresistible to several local gamblers. The Society must discover the reason before one of their own becomes lost.
The Seagate Nightmare
[Season finale] The town of Seagate, MA is looking for help concerning a possible church haunting. But the Oracle Society soon finds the town is holding a secret far more dangerous than ghosts.
The Oracle Society Christmas Special
[Special] The Oracle Society discovers that the night crew of a local shopping mall has been turned into werewolves. Can they stop the creatures without being infected themselves?
