Although I will be going to a different school then you will be, I will still be there....we can be friends and hang out and maybe if our schedule matches we can eat lunch together, as our schools I believe are within ten minutes of each other (walking

Lets see number 7- well I had liked James from afar since my first year I thought he was hot but I also thought I had no chance with him, espeecially after he helped me when I was puking and crying one night at Rigby. THen I got to know him my second year, became friends had the hugest crush on him. Now the first night we were together sober and we kissed, I just thought in my head I love you I love you I love you. And I don't know everything just felt right and I had never felt like that towards someone else. So I guess I had hoped more than anything, but as more time passed I began to see that we made a good pair, and I mean as with anything else you can't break a pair. Nah, its been all good, best decision I ever made and the first time I followed my heart instead of settling for second best.
also thanks, I just sent you an email about more apartments. I like to support people that I like when I can. I also like looking for apartments. Its fun.
heh, if it's the hostel i'm thinking of, it's not in a bad part of town. It's close to a superstore, relativly close to SMU, the downtown core, and a great big beautiful catholic church, but i include that because it really is pretty.

1. In his second year at St. Thomas, Mr. Darren Tidd was in Peter MacDonald's 8:30 a.m. intro to Soc class. Subsequently, he has taken Anglo-Saxon, worked at Michelin, had dread locks, and lived with Kate MacKinnon. 2. eteþ (a) haran! 3. Kind of a mellow blue. Which is ever so lucky for you, because blue is my favorite colour. 4. You're excellent, and were one of my first campus buddies at STU, and once you made your own orange pants. 5. Clearest/semi early? "OoOh baby, baby, here's your soc notes!" I felt bad that all my memories were from first year, until I realized that most of the people I know now, I MET first your, so OF COURSE my memories are from then. Duh. 6. See above. This question is lame, and I'm treating it accordingly. A penguin? 7. What is your favorite movie?
There are totally people you could be living with in Halifax! What about Dan and Michelle? Or (sexily) a certain hunky former-GRID student? If push comes to shove, I even have a cousin with a house who currently has a vacant room. There's no need to be so rash! I even have a friend who I think might have an August lease she's trying to get out of! Moreover, I feel for your housing difficulties--but these things do usually work out. And you never know, you might get something this month due to last minute rush/people not coming back to school/etc. circumstances. So, never fear, there's no need to be hopeless yet.
Also, good to hear from you. Congratulations on the promotion: whatever you're getting paid, it'll look good on your CV. And congratulations to your sister! My goodness! What kind of contest was that? Now convince her to apply that ample brain-power to school, so she can get a good STU scholarship.
I'm glad that somebody else starts school retardedly early. We can have a joint going-away party (with everyone else that's

"Sexily" is an excellent adverb, and I heartily (and sexily?) approve.
Thanks for the pep talk. I fluctuate between being frustrated/fed up, and being calm about it.
And now:
1. Matt is a Weird Al Yankovic EXPERT. 2. Watch Freaks and Geeks. It's good, and good for you. 3. A very sensible Forest green? 4. You're dependable, and warm, and sometimes make stupid jokes that are not funny at all, which means you are still a mere mortal. 5. I sat in on an Aquinas lecture first year after Beth talked it up, and watched you do your thing learning about Toqueville. I thought you were crazy smart and prepared, and you intimidated me. 6. This question is stupid, so I will treat it appropriately. A platypus. 7. Have you ever gone to class without the readings done? 8. Quid pro quo, Mrs. Casablancas. Quid pro quo.
1. I sang Weird Al's (Spiderman) version of "Piano Man" just the other night. 2. I would--alas, if only I knew someone with one, or possibly two, copies of it on DVD! 3. I am wearing a very sensible greenish colour today! 4. Awww! Thanks! I try to be all those things (except mortal--but I've got something in the works to make me a *real* boy, after all). 5. I frickin' loved Tocqueville, though. I mean, I realize I'll talk about things that I don't love--but Tocqueville planted the seeds of my current life-course. 6. This question is stupid. 7. Yes. However, I do a number of things like 'conversation steering' to make it less obvious when this happens. I also have a pretty good sense of how far we'll make it in a class, making it easier to always have enough read, if not precisely what was assigned.
As for the whole moving thing I hear you. I did it once coming out here to STU and now I'm going to go off and do it again, although I have a different monkeywrench thrown in because I didnt apply till the end of May so I've only heard back from one school so far! So I know for sure I'm moving because I got into at least one but I have NO idea even what city I'm going to, let alone what apartments are there...lol...it should be entertaining to say the least.
LoL...fabulous answers....I dunno..how does anyone ultimately hook up? We just hung out together and proceeded onward from there, which begs the question, how did you and Adam ultimately hook up? Now I'm curious :p
We met in the grill line, actually. I creepily went on about this guy I went in the grill line half jokingly/half seriously for about two weeks...then he joined film society..which seemed like a fortuitous coincidence, but was apparently an attempt to pick me up. We essentially hooked up at the Oscar party, but had our first "date" after the Jack Frost screening the next day.
(Added note of amusement: his pick-up line after introducing himself was "You know Danny, right?")
