this is me (victoria) wishing you lots of luck at kings. don't let the toronto prep school kids get you down! kick them in the shins and run if you have to....i wish i would have done that. you won't get lost, kings only has a few buildings and they're mostly all connected by tunnels, underground or onground.
anyway. the good news is that if you're ever sad and lonely in halifax, there's the gelato store. it's off spring garden on some street that i can't remember. but i hope you find it. it's called something like dio mio and it tastes good (the gelato, not the store...although who knows, i've never actually licked the store).

I agree with many of the sentiments you expressed; it's so true, it's really hard to move yourself out of a situation where you are happy. It was time, though.

I also took taxis for my entire first year, and really only became mobile in Fredericton after I started dating the Vivster.

I hope all goes well! We'll keep in good touch online.

I am at 6155 Pepperell St.!
I don't have a phone yet, thought, unfortunately.
However, my Wed./Thurs. class schedule, in case it proves of use to you is:

Wed. - class from 9:30-12, and then 3:30-5:30.
Thurs. - class from 9:30 - 12, and then not until 6:30-8:30.

So if any of my free times work for you, and you find yourself in the neighborhood, you will be most welcome. (I owe you a cookie).

Sometimes you just have to go, explore, get lost, and enjoy it, at least that's what I think. I caught a train to Sendai on a whim two weekends ago, in bad back pain, simply because I really wanted to see the fireworks.

However, I am also insane, so take this with a grain of salt.

(PS: I am internet enabled at home now. Expect big updates)

Weee, long distance relationships. They're so much fun. I'm there with you, friend.

Is it just me, or are there fireworks every day here? I saw Hello Kitty fireworks on sale in a home and garden type store today.
