I wrote three KameUchi drabbles/one-shots because I felt like writing KameUchi. Well, they started off as all drabbles, but the last one got really long, so it's now a one-shot ^__^

ichigo_246 because I told her I'd write her a KameUchi fic for her birthday present (which is late ><). I hope this fits your prompt and that you enjoy it! :D

Kame sent the text message with a sigh on his lips and then leaned back against the chair, for once alone in the KAT-TUN meeting room. It was rare lately to have any sort of peace and quiet while he was at work; everything was going into preparations for the concerts that were coming up, and this time, even more arrangements had to be made since they weren’t staying in just Japan this time.
He was just grateful to have a bit of time to himself; it wasn’t too much to ask for was it?
Apparently it was.
Not even ten minutes after Ueda had left with a ‘don’t stay too long Kame’, and only a few moments after he had sent that text message, the door to the KAT-TUN room opened.
Kame opened his eyes slowly, but didn’t lift the hand that was covering his eyes. Maybe if he stayed like this, he could pretend like he was asleep and whoever it was - maybe one of the night shift cleaning staff? - would leave him alone until he was ready to leave.
Apparently, that wasn’t meant to be either.
Warm hands suddenly touched Kame’s, and fingers brushed against his as his hand was lifted away from his eyes, and Kame felt a thumb brush along his cheek; he kept his eyes closed, but couldn’t help the small sigh of contentment that escaped him.
“I know you’re not asleep,” the owner of those hands spoke with an amused voice, “Open your eyes for me, Kazuya.”
Kame waited a moment, until he could just feel the younger man pouting, before he cracked his eyes open tiredly, “So demanding,” he said but there was no snap in his voice, just tiredness, along with amusement and teasing.
“You should know by now,” Uchi said with a low laugh as he tried to keep his voice down in the near-silent room, “That if you send me a text saying that you’re ‘fine’, that I’ll never believe you.”
Kame smiled, “So you came to check up on me?” he said tiredly, but was a bit touched.
Uchi just shot Kame a grin, “I have nothing better to do.”
“Liar,” Kame accused, but he sat up with a smile on his face. Then he yawned again.
“Maybe,” Uchi said as he reached out a hand to help Kame up, “C’mon; I’ll treat you dinner and then I’ll take you home.”
Kame began to protest, but then Uchi added a, “Call it this liar’s apology for lying?” he added with a cheeky grin.
Kame stared at Uchi for a moment, before rolling his eyes and agreeing easily, “Fine, just so you don’t feel guilty about lying to me.”
“Of course, it’s all just for me.” Uchi agreed with an amused look on his face.
They walked in silence for a few moments, and just before exiting the building, Kame turned and graced Uchi with a bright smile, “Thanks, Hiroki.” He said, pausing in his steps.
Uchi smiled slowly, and then tilted his head, “What for?” he asked in a clueless voice, “I mean, this is all for me to appease my guilt for lying to you.”
Kame let out a laugh and reached out a hand to poke Uchi in the middle of his forehead, “Well, then, thanks for being selfish.”
Uchi grinned, “Any time, Kazuya, any time.”

Title: Dear
pairing: Kamenashi Kazuya x Uchi Hiroki
Rating: PG
Summary: Uchi's never had to doubt if Kame believed in him, because of a phone call every week...
prompt: something to do with Uchi coming back from his suspension
note: written for
itsahello --
Every week during his suspension, Uchi had gotten a phone call. Just one phone call, but it never failed to come. Maybe the person on the other end just knew him too well; Uchi was afraid of being hated by everyone, or being forgotten completely so that when he returned from his suspension, whenever that was, he wouldn’t even be remembered by anybody.
But those fears would be quickly pushed down by the phone call. The conversation always went roughly the same, but it never failed to make a smile appear on his face. So, when his suspension ended, he was surprised to get that same phone call again.
“Hey,” the person on the other end said, in that same voice that Uchi remembered fondly week after week; a voice that was polite, playful and curious, all mixed into one. A genuinely sincere voice; it was the first voice Uchi had believed when he had assured Uchi that everything would turn out okay.
“How are you?” He started, just like always.
“I’m doing fine,” Uchi answered, the same answer, with a small smile as he held the phone tightly in his hand.
“Are you?” the same question as always. The first time he had heard that, Uchi had been confused, and taken back; everyone had always left the subject alone after he had said he was fine, as if they didn’t want to make him uncomfortable by pressing more, but…it had made him sad, like he was already estranged from everyone. That extra question had been what he needed to hear.
Now, Uchi’s smile widened; this was so familiar, it was like a script, except that each line was so real, and so genuine.
“I think so,” Uchi answered, “What do you think?”
The voice hummed a little in thought, “Well, I think that everything will turn out okay eventually; I think that when you come back, everything will be alright, and you won’t just think you’re fine.”
Uchi’s line again, “Do you really think so?”
He remembered, the first time he asked that; it had been only days after his suspension, and everything had happened so quickly that he was terrified - and ashamed at what he had caused. He wanted nothing more than to turn back time and make it okay again, and he had been sure that by the time he was unsuspended, he wouldn’t be welcome anywhere, and he was frightened about the future.
“It’s going to be alright.”
Uchi’s smile could have probably blinded someone. Back then, the conviction had been what had helped him pull through the difficult days; such confidence that everything would be okay was like a shining beacon of light in his days of darkness; he had needed to hear that conviction more than anything.
“If you say so, I believe you.” Uchi replied, the same line. It was this line that their conversations would always end at, right before they would hang up; they wouldn’t say goodbye because Uchi had learned to hate that word and the other knew it; goodbyes were all he said when he got suspended.
There was a long, but pleasant, pause now, the script ended.
“I told you, didn’t I?”
Uchi could hear the smile in the other’s voice, could see the smile on his face - that bright, trademark, smile that could give the sun some competition.
“You did,” Uchi agreed, holding the phone close to his ear, as if afraid he’d miss that reassuring voice.
“It’s going to be alright.” He repeated.
Uchi smiled at those words, “And you’re right; it will be alright, Kazuya.”
The older man on the other end simply laughed, light-hearted and free just like how Uchi felt, “I told you so.”
“You did.” Uchi said, repeating it again; he couldn’t seem to think of anything else to say, but the ‘thank you’ that he wanted to say kept dying at his lips, but he had a feeling Kame understood anyways. Kame had always understood him, “You did.” He said again.

Title: Unrequited
pairing: Kamenashi Kazuya x Uchi Hiroki
rating: PG-13
Summary: Uchi spends his time watching Kame just like Takenaga watches Kyohei - carefully.

itsahello --
When the cameras are trained on the two of them, he takes a deep breath, hoping the other doesn’t hear or notice it; he knows what’s supposed to happen in this scene, but he can’t help but be a little nervous - well, maybe less of the nervous and more of the ‘scared as hell’ variety. Nervous doesn’t even come close to what he feels, and he knows he can’t do this - he could never do this; who did he think he was trying to fool?
If it was anyone else…
If it could only be anyone else…
The other seems completely oblivious to his inner distress; he smiles and nods at the director, before turning to Uchi. That’s the signal that Kame, at least, is ready. Uchi wishes he could say the same for himself.
It’s the first take of this scene and although he’s read the lines and the actions in the script over and over again, he can’t help but let the cold feeling of fear sweep through him.
“Are you ready?” Kame asks, tilting his head curiously at Uchi, a smile playing on his lips. Uchi wonders if Kame knows what that does to whoever sees it; he probably doesn’t. He probably doesn’t realize what a fucking gorgeous creature he is, he probably doesn’t realize how he’s much more than what he thinks he is, but Uchi sees it. Uchi sees it every day, and every day, he can’t help but watch Kame like an obsession.
Uchi hesitates, but then he nods, hoping that even though he’s not confident at all inside right now, he looks confident on the outside.
The director calls for the cameras to start filming and the scene to start, and they begin to say their lines and move, well-practiced personas of Takenaga and Kyohei coming up to the surface. Uchi sometimes wishes that he really was Takenaga; Takenaga’s the one that Kyohei goes to for advice, to talk, for anything - he knows Kyohei best and he knows it, but Uchi, ordinary, not-Takenaga, Uchi can only try his best to be closer to Kame, can only try his best to get Kame’s attention. Kame doesn’t seek his attention like Kyohei does with Takenaga, and Uchi just wishes he does.
A moment later, and it’s the part of the scene that Uchi is dreading; he says his lines perfectly, and of course, so does Kame; Kame can do no wrong. But just like Uchi predicts, things fall apart when it comes to the movements; Kame’s hands go toward Uchi’s chest and then to his waist, to poke him like the script demands, but Uchi can’t deal with the touches; it’s as he’s getting assaulted by Kame’s fingers, that he tries to get away too quickly and he trips and falls.
Bringing Kame down with him.
Uchi crashes to the floor, but Kame stops himself from falling on top of Uchi just in time, stopping his fall with two hands on either side of Uchi. Then, it seems as if someone up there has decided to smile on Uchi ,and give him more time in this position that seems like it's out of a daydream, because time seems to slow.
He sees Kame breathing hard from shock above him, his face, and those lips, not too far from his. He sees an embarrassed, apologetic, look begin its way across Kame’s face, and he sees Kame lift a hand away from the ground and for a moment, it almost seems as if he’s going to reach toward Uchi’s face, but he doesn’t in the end. Their eyes are locked with each other’s, and Uchi wonders if he’s the only one who feels that intensity between them.
Then the moment is broken by the noises of the people around them breaking into the shield they had been behind for just a few moments; Kame looks startled and he puts on a fond smile on his face as he lifts himself up and sits on the ground next to Uchi, “Are you okay?” he asks, lowly, quietly.
Uchi tries not to show what his breathing has been reduced to, so he blinks.
Kame looks concerned, and immediately, he’s taking Uchi’s hand and helping him sit up; he has a hand on the back of Uchi’s head, running his fingers through Uchi’s hair and checking for a bump from the impact, or even blood. He’s keeping his eyes trained on Uchi’s face, watching for a reaction to any pain.
Uchi wonders if Kame will ever know what his fingers are doing to him right now; the feel of those fingers running through his hair, caressing his head in such a way, leaves him breathless, and his heart pounds painfully in his chest. He winces.
That’s the cue Kame needs to help Uchi to his feet, and with a look at the director and the others around them, he speaks in a tone that Uchi’s heard very rarely. It’s the tone Kame uses when he wants his way, and he’s going to get it no matter what. It’s stern, just a bit cold, and it just dares someone to contradict him. And yet, to Uchi, it’s not frightening at all; to him, it's just simply...sensuous.
“I’m taking him to get some ice for that,” Kame says; he’s still polite but there’s an edge in his voice that just dares anyone to argue, “Perhaps a scene that doesn’t involve us could be filmed while I’m doing that?” he suggested.
He doesn’t even wait before leading Uchi away; he leads them to the meeting room they’re normally in for their break, and then he disappears for a bit, before coming back with a plastic bag filled with ice, wound tightly to keep the ice in.
Kame’s fingers brush along his scalp once more as he searches for where Uchi’s hurt himself; Uchi wonders if Kame will find anything amiss if he brings Kame’s hands to his heart instead.
Probably.
“I’m sorry,” Uchi says quietly, sorrowfully.
Kame shoots him an inquisitive look, “Why are you sorry?”
“We’re going to have to shoot that scene again…” Uchi replies.
Kame simply raises an eyebrow, but he’s still running his fingers through Uchi’s hair, getting them lost in the black locks, “I don’t mind,” he replies as he does this. Uchi’s looking up at Kame; the older man is standing so close to him, and his hands have stopped moving. Uchi can see a concerned look on Kame’s face from where he's sitting, and it touches his heart that that look is because of him.
Kame may play Kyohei, but Kame is nothing like Kyohei. The Kyohei Kame plays is emotionally underdeveloped, new to the world of love and emotions, and doesn’t deal with people well; he’s confident but it’s mostly for display, so that people don’t know that he’s never kissed anyone, and so that they don’t know about the scars in his heart. He likes to hide his weaknesses behind that confident mask, but it still shows at times. Kame is different; Kame’s confidence isn’t an act, it’s naturally in every pore of Kame’s body; and Uchi has no doubt that Kame’s kissed someone before; he isn’t sure about what scars that Kame has, except everyone knows about what happened with Kame’s ex-girlfriend a few years back, but if he has those scars still, it doesn’t show at all. And Uchi spends his time watching Kame just like Takenaga watches Kyohei - carefully.
And from his observations, Kame is fucking gorgeous.
“But…” Uchi bites his lip, “I can’t believe I messed that up…”
Well, he could, but Kame doesn’t need to know that.
Kame merely puts down the bag of ice into Uchi’s hands, and looks down, “You’ll do fine. It was just a mistake.” He says confidently, and then he gives Uchi one of Uchi’s favourite looks - a smile that starts off small, which turns into a teasing smirk, “You’ll end up doing the scene perfectly, I know. After all, you’re my Takenaga aren’t you?”
Kame’s just teasing, to make him feel better, so Uchi laughs a little and agrees, but inside, his head’s a mess and his heart seems like it’s on the verge of giving out on him.
My Takengaga. My, my, my.
Kame’s smiling at him, and Uchi can’t stop looking straight into Kame’s eyes, his heart leaping up into his throat and making it impossible for him to breathe much less speak.
His hearts drops back down to where it belongs and beats loudly when Kame doesn’t even try to look away.
“Ready to go back then?” Kame asks, breaking the silence. He then adds, “You should probably put that where it hurts.” He adds, apparently unable to find out where Uchi had hurt himself. Uchi isn’t sure how to break it to him that it hadn’t been an injury from the fall that had made him wince earlier, so he just nods and puts the ice pack on a random spot on his head.
Kame smiles and Uchi’s heart beats faster again, his hand gripping the cold bag tightly.
My Takenaga.
Somehow, hope has fluttered its way into Uchi’s heart.
Hope, with wings, that’s in the form of the damn gorgeous Kame walking next to him.
That fucking gorgeous Kame who’s turning around and lightly putting his knuckles to Uchi’s forehead.
“So don’t worry; make all the mistakes you want.” He teases, “I don’t mind at all.”
Uchi just smiles, “Okay.”
