I've not been so good, but I'm slowly getting better. People are scary but I'm crawling out of my shell. How about you?

Don't be sorry; I need to slowly acclimatize myself to non-fandom folks.*g* I like Doctor Who, although strangely I don't really 'ship in it. A shot of Nine/Rose/Jack is always fun, but I like Rose/Doctor the way the show played it for the most part - more than friends, but not quite lovers. Then again, the one time I've wanted to write DW fanfic it would have been Rose/Mickey.

I'm all right. Up and down a lot. I'm really glad you're slowly getting there, whatever was wrong - I'd been thinking about you sometimes but realised I had no way of trying to get in contact anyway! So I'm glad you've reappeared.

I just realised! I read SOME comics! I don't suppose you read Uncanny X-men? That'd be an interesting one for shippings! And other than that, Astonishing X-Men? I think I love Kitty. (And I think I missed the latest issue. AAAAH.)

Right. My first episode was Ariel, and from then on for me it was the Simon and River show. I loved all the characters, and happily read about them in various combinations, but my OTP had to be Simon/River. That desperate need and desire with the sense all you want is wrapped up in one person. I've always been a sucker for the whole "you and me against the world" aesthetic, and add that to the sense of 'creating our own morality' that a lot of fics have and I'm gone. (incidentally, these are much the same reasons I read Sam/Dean over in Supernatural.)

Post-movie, however, they changed. They grew up and grew a touch apart, which is healthy but not so conducive to the Crazy Space Incest. So now I like Mal/River. I'm not so sure why. I just really like the vibe between them. Mal seems to understand River on a level Simon doesn't. Plus, it's really a threesome - Mal/River/Serenity.

(Don't get too excited about the Claire/Hiro. It's just a snippet in order for me to flex my near-atrophied writing muscles.)
