In the past month or so, I have been mistaken for an A level student a total of three times. This would be funny were it not for the fact that I am, in fact, TEN YEARS too old. (Also got asked last year if I was old enough to buy a screw driver. Uh, yes, I think I'm over 16, thankyouverymuch snotty teenager in the checkout.)

Intellectual stuff in post? Swooshed right over head. Whisky good though. What did you get in the end?

I keep meaning to carry ID, but I always forget and am forced to return my precious booze. (I'm sounding like a total alkie now. My alcoholic purchases are quite infrequent). Marks and Spencers also never check ID. Obviously they all assume that teenagers have no taste.

Isle of Jura, 10 year malt was the one I eventually went for. Very nice it is too, especially considering all the help I could give the guy over my tastes was that the Balvenie Doublewood was too sweet (so now I know to avoid sherry-casked malts) and that the Monkey Shoulder blended whiskey was too peaty. I got a little overwhelmed with all the names he was recommending. No wonder I skipped out on the intellectual stuff tonight. *g*
