I'm so glad you've said that - I was beginning to think I was some kind of freak for secretly shipping Doctor/Donna! Rose and Martha almost worshipped the Doctor and had, in a way, very unequal relationships with him, whereas Donna acts like she feels like his equal which is much more satisfying to me.

Yes, they just feel so natural together. Donna doesn't idealise him, and that's just so refreshing - for the Doctor and for the audience. It feels light and fun, without denying the characters' history.
