All I knew about the house I bought for the cost of its delinquent taxes was what I could see on Google maps. It was a couple miles outside a small Florida town--rural, on a couple quiet acres. I don't know why I write better from prompts than I do from my own head. Someone told me about a dream they had where they bought s storage locker that had a body in it... I shook the concept up a little, and I'm kind of wondering what happens next.

I've been writing ficlets and posting them at AO3 as well.

Well done! I could visualize the whole thing going down as I read it, in both the present day and the past. I'm curious about what's in the briefcase: cash, multiple passports and cash a la Jason Bourne, or perhaps a cursed object? This one will keep me guessing for a long time to come.

I'm contemplating what may ensue in this tale...those are some interesting ideas. I was thinking of the suitcase in "Pulp Fiction", where we never actually see the contents. Hmm... I have a bunch of WIP, I think I need to make some time for this one.
