Good Omens squee More bonus Lee.Anyway! This weekend I watched the Good Omens mini-series on Amazon Prime, and OHMY, it was DELIGHTFUL

Lee’s not so into social media... he’s told me so. Besides, he’s got those babies to take care of and watch grow. And apparently he’s filming projects for us to be surprised by! Like, just send a main tweet out with shows/dates/times/events... whatever’s going on for the upcoming couple months. I should make a sign to send him so he can hang it somewhere “Reminder: Tell fans about upcoming projects!” I mean, I’ll decorate it all pretty...
Not being into social media wouldn't bother me if Lee had an agent or manager or *someone* doing promo for him, or who at least updated his IMDB in a timely manner. It drives me crazy when he appears in something and I find out about it after the fact. He's been bad about promoting himself for forever, even before social media and the kids were born, so I guess it's just not something he gives a high priority to. Which is fine -- not all actors are into that aspect of their work/career, and I actually respect him for that, but it's just aggravating as a fan.
I saw your Spook Me story (ooh, that artwork O_O), but when I saw how long it was I had to add it to my "To Read" list. ;-) My son's hockey season has just started, so I'll be spending like half my life at the rink for the next few months -- my plan is to use that time to catch up on my reading!
Yeah, it would be nice to know about his shows before hand. He seems to enjoy creating stuff, but gets almost shy about being praised for it. I don’t think he realizes just how amazing he is.
My spook me did get a little long. I can imagine needing something to pass the time at hockey practices.
I recommend reading Good Omens. It was so long ago when I read it that I can't really comment too much on how close the show follows it, though there were certainly many parts that were familiar. I just know when I read the book I very much enjoyed and was trying to get others to read it.
Oooh, thanks for the reply. I guess I'm not concerned so much with how closely the show follows the book, but rather that the book has the same overall tone and atmosphere and is as enjoyable as the show. And it sounds like it is! Looks like I'll be adding it to my Wish List. :)
Hmm, I just looked it up, and apparently the book was published in 1990. I had no idea it was so old! I just assumed it was something fairly recent. Where in the world have I been? Heh. (Although, considering I discovered Oz a good 10+ years after the fact, I guess this is par for the course.)
