This summer I watched the 2014 movie "What We Do in the Shadows," a mock documentary comedy about vampires (I love anything Taika Waititi does). Then in September, I binge-watched the first two seasons of the TV series that is based on it. OMG, it is simply laugh-out loud hilarious. I love it so much, even more than the movie. Thank you, I'm thrilled to hear that! Writing in a new fandom like this one, where the voices are so distinctive, can be challenging and a little intimidating. I put some real effort into getting them right, so I'm glad they rang true.

Well, that was a bit of canon--toward the end of S2, Guillermo feels under-appreciated and leaves to serve another vampire. Nandor asks him to come back, and getting a day off was one of Guillermo's conditions for returning. But I also like the implication that Guillermo earned that perk by performing, uh, other tasks for Nandor. :D
