Summary : Yang Yoseob enters the Shinhwa High where he meets F4, Yong Junhyung, Son Dongwoon, Lee Kikwang and the last but not least, our almighty Yoon Doojoon.
Yoseob eyed the poor girl with concern from the far corner of the hall. Being shoved in the face with home-made cake by the man whom she just confessed to wasn’t something that you see every day. To make it worse, no one seemed to care how she broke down to the floor, loud sobs and hitched breaths were all she could sound out. The crowd cleared just like nothing happened.
Yoseob felt pity. He then approached the sobbing girl, “Hey, are you okay?”
He was truly concerned. Rae in glared at him before yelling out, “Are you blind? OF COURSE I’M NOT!!” Her crying got louder and she ran away from the scene.
Yoseob blinked a few times before he regretted his action on actually attempted to cheer up the lady.
“Give her a break. She just feels humiliated,” said a voice from behind.
Yoseob turned to the owner of the voice, and spotted a pretty long haired girl holding out her hand.
As if she could read the blonde’s mind, she supplied, “I’m Krystal by the way. You’re new here aren’t you? I can tell you don’t know about F4.”
Yoseob accepted the handshake, “Yoseob. And yes, it’s my first day here. By F4, do you mean the people who publicly humiliated that kid?”
A small laugh escaped her lips, “Yes, they’re F4. They practically rule this school. No one dares to defy them, even the principal bows before them. Well if someone does defy them, he or she will get a red card.”
Yoseob gave out a confused look, “Red card?”
“It means you’re their prey. They’ll literally make your life a living hell, and I’m not joking about it. Everyone who receives the red card from F4 either dropped out of the school, running out of country and even committed suicide. You should behave yourself and not speak ill of them.”
Krystal gestured the blonde to follow her, as they walked down the hall, she told Yoseob about the infamous F4.
“First, Lee Kikwang, the successor to the Il Shin Construction. There is a rumor that half of Jeju Island is the company's, that this company is a huge construction conglomerate and has a 50 year history of gangs. The family of the Il Shin gangs has a hold of a fair amount of luxury night clubs and has a large control over the real estate values.”
Krystal continued on, ignoring the dumbfounded look on Yoseob’s face. “Second, Yong Junhyung. He was the youngest artist to debut at the Biennale; the big art exhibition held every two years and is a gifted ceramist that appeared like a shooting star. UNESCO has selected him as one of the best young artists.”
Yoseob responded, “Well at least there’s one member who actually does something.”
“Not all geniuses are poor.” Krystal let out a giggle, “National treasures that appear in our textbooks, and the country's biggest art museum, Woo Sung Museum, is Junhyung's grandfather's. “
Yoseob’s eyes widened in surprise, “That’s their family’s? How much is all that?”
“Don’t try to know too much. You’re gonna get hurt,” Krystal teased. She motioned the blonde to the other side of the lobby, specifically a side which an enormous large picture was hung on the wall.
“This is the old president’s photo. The little kid who is sitting beside him is F4’s Son Dongwoon. Yes, he is the grandson of our previous President. They own the Su Am Cultural Foundation, an European soccer team and a major league team.”
Yoseob nodded at the explanation. This was quite a lot of information to take in.
Krystal tilted her head to the side, “You at least know about the last member, right?”
Yoseob crooked out a smile and shook his head while saying an innocent no.
She sighed, this boy obviously doesn’t know anything at all. “If you are a Korean citizen, even a three year old knows of the Shinhwa group; he is their heir, Yoon Doojoon, the F4 Leader.”
“Wait. That man who shoved a cake into an innocent girl’s face is actually the heir of the most large known corporation in Korea?”
Krystal grinned and nodded in response, glad that she knew Yoseob was actually listening.

Despite the drama on the first day, Yoseob’s school days had been normal. The rooftop had become his favorite spot during recess. The place was so quiet, no one was hardly around.
Yoseob took in the view of his new school while leaning against the railing. Suddenly, he felt an urge of cursing the F4.
The blonde took a deep breath before shouting on top of his lungs, “Yoon Doojoon! You are a big a-hole!”
After actually sounding that out, he crooked out a smile. Yoseob didn’t know talking bad of people would feel this good.
“F4!! You cockroach guys! If you’re born that blessed, you should live your lives gratefully, not making fun of anybody else! And someone like Yoon Doojoon who had no common sense is the heir of Shinhwa group is a public nuisance to the nation! The day comes when I’m forced to bow before you is the day I’m diving off the rooftop, I swear I will!”
Yoseob panted out of breath for a bit. He smiled as feeling contented, but a voice from his behind made his smile disappear.
“You’re also a nuisance.”
Yoseob hesitated for a bit before turning to the voice. He could literally feel his face went white. F4’s Son Dongwoon. Uh-oh.
Dongwoon scratched the back of his head while a big yawn escaped from his mouth. “I can’t sleep because you’re too freakin’ noisy.”
Yoseob opened his mouth to respond, only to close it back. Then carefully choosing out the words to respond with, “I.. I’m
sorry. I thought no one was around.”
Dongwoon was still bearing the bored look, but he asked, “Is it true?”
Yoseob tilted his head to the side, confused, “Is what true?”
“That you’ll dive from the rooftop,” Dongwoon answered.
Yoseob could even tell that if he had a mirror he would probably look incredibly stupid right now. That meant that Dongwoon actually heard the whole thing. He was to stunned to react, and could do nothing but watch the F4 member left him in a speechless state.

Yoseob pushed through the door as he greeted his boss in his work place. For some extra money, he worked part time in an ice cream shop.
“Hey Shinhwa high student! Can I be friends with you?”
Yoseob snickered as he needed not to see the face to recognize the voice that was teasing him. He punched the male lightly on the shoulder. “What nonsense are you talking about, Jang Hyunseung?”
Hyunseung grinned and punched back with fake revenge.
They then went to the room staffs and changed into working outfits.
Hyunseung had been Yoseob’s best friend since they’re still kids. There’s nothing they don’t know about each other; that’s how close they are.
“How’s your new elite school?” Hyunseung asked.
“Nothing more interesting than the rich kids bullying some poor kid and so on,” Yoseob answered. He had previously told Hyunseung about F4 and the events that happened so far.
Hyunseung gave the blonde a concerned look, “It’s a relief that you’ve made a friend. I was worried that you’re going to be a loner.”
“I’m a loner.” - [*wetoriaa wetoriaaa* Sorry I can’t resist.]
“What?”
Yoseob sighed before continuing, “You’re right. I am indeed a loner. I’m so thankful that they don’t pay attention. I’m planning on stuffing myself in a corner until graduation.”
“Who are you?” Hyunseung stared at his best friend incredulously, “Where did our Seobbie go? The boy who taught the boys a lesson when they bullied me in kindergarten, the boy who fought off the big guy that tried to rob me once, that strong Yoseobbie?”
Yoseob sighed again, “I don’t know. But I think I better keep a low profile.”
Hyunseung eyed the blonde with worry and quickly changed the subject. “Oh well anyhow, do you meet a cute girl?” Hyunseung wiggled his eyebrows playfully.
“No way.” Yoseob shook his head furiously as even the thought of it sent shivers down his spine, “I wouldn’t even dare to dream to date a girl from that kind of school.”
Hyunseung pouted before perking up again, “No beautiful girls, eh? What about handsome boys?”
Yoseob twitched on the words, he glared to the other, “Jang Hyunseung, stop talking rubbish.”
Hyunseung released a playful laugh but panicked when his boss patted him from the back with a ‘you’re-dead-to-me-if-you-don’t-start-working’ look. He nervously avoided his gaze and managed to escape away.
Yoseob smiled on the view, Hyunseung always knows how to lighten up his mood.

At school, Yoseob only had Krystal as his friend; well, companion. They would go anywhere together. Don’t get him wrong, Krystal is a very pretty girl, but he was hell sure this wasn’t something romantic. The girl was just nice enough to make friends with him when anyone wouldn’t.
Yoseob paid for his ice cream before catching up to Krystal who already ran forward to the school park. He was approaching her when she suddenly lost her balance and fell. Her ice cream unfortunately fell on… Yoon Doojoon’s shoes.
Krystal looked up from the shoes and then up, eyes widened in horror as she realized who is she messing with. She stuttered while trying to rub off the dirt from Doojoon shoes with her bare hands, “I-I apologize, Sunbae.”
Doojoon kicked his leg away from the touch, while scrunching up his face in disgust. He stared down with mock, “You’re sorry? If everything could just be solved by saying sorry, why would polices and jails exist?”
Krystal’s face went pale upon hearing the words. “I’ll buy you the exact same shoes right away.”
Doojoon rose up his chin. “You, do you have more money than me?”
Krystal coughed a bit. “Excuse me?”
Doojoon scoffed before continuing, “Even if you did, you wouldn’t be able too. These shoes are made by a craftsman in Firenze, how do you intend to buy the same exact ones right away?”
Krystal’s eyes widened in fear, shock, horror all mixed into one. “I truly apologize Sunbaenim.” Her voice shook as she said, “Then I’ll do whatever I can to repay you.”
Doojoon raised a curious brow as an idea crossed him mind, “Whatever you can?”
Krystal answered with determination, “Yes.”
“Lick it.”
“Excuse me?” Krystal nearly shrieked, not quite sure she heard that right.
“I told you to lick it.” Doojoon said nonchalantly as he’s asking something that is perfectly normal. “Didn’t you say that you’d do anything that you can?”
Krystal swallowed the big lump of her throat, as she kneeled in front the male’s shoes. She closed her eyes as she brought her face near the object.
Yoseob couldn’t believe that Krystal would do it. Hell, is she crazy? If he didn’t interrupt at least she would be licking off every last drop of the ice cream. He couldn’t stand there and did nothing, and his lips just moved without his brain’s consent.
“Do you think she falls because she wants too? She apologized, that’s enough,” Yoseob said sternly. He congratulated himself on actually not stumbling upon the words. He silently cursed himself as Doojoon’s attention diverted towards him, no longer watching the poor girl kneeling in front him. Krystal also stopped on her tracks, but her expression just darkened; as she knew her other friend is also being dragged into the mess she made.
Yoseob bit his lip nervously as Doojoon took a step forward towards him, and eyes scanning him up and down. It’s a lie if he said he weren’t scared of what this person might do to him, he isn’t that naïve.
“What are you?” Doojoon asked.
“I’m not what, my name is Yang Yoseob,” Yoseob calmly answered, glad that his voice hasn’t betrayed himself.
“Oh.. So you have a name,” Doojoon said with a mocking tone. “Say, Yoseob. Is it your hobby to not know your place and mind other’s business? Why do you poke your nosy nose into other people’s affairs?”
“She’s my friend, therefore I have a right to,” Yoseob said, not less intimidated as they faces were brought closer. “In a wealthy person’s dictionary, I assume words like ‘friend’ or ‘friendship’ doesn’t exist, does it?”
“Friendship?” Doojoon scoffed, “Let’s see some of that powerful friendship.”
“Lick it,” Doojoon ordered.
Well, now this is an interesting turn out of events that Yoseob didn’t expect.
Seeing the stunned blonde, Doojoon repeated, “If you lick it, I’ll forget this ever happened.”
As Yoseob wondered what the hell he must do now, the cold liquid that flowed down his fingers from the neglected melting ice cream gives him an idea. With one quick move, the ice cream goes smashing into Doojoon’s face without warning. His face is now covered with white sticky fluids. Doojoon’s expression was priceless.
Yoseob grinned on the stiff male. He walked past the taller man and grabbed Krystal by the hand, and together, they walk away.
You deserved that, pig head.

Doojoon wiped his face with his handkerchief with annoyance. He couldn’t believe what just happened.
Doojoon was aware since his childhood that he was destined for something big. He’s indeed the successor of the Shinhwa group. The one and only heir. Everyone is obliged to fulfill his wish, and do as his wish. No one is ever to defy him. No one ever dared to defy him.
He stared into the mirror, and smiled as the view pleases him. Anyone would agree that he’s handsome. Girls adore him. Boys worship him.
Regarding these facts, he couldn’t really quite grasp why something humiliating like that just happened.
“Hey, what’s wrong with Doojoon?” Kikwang asked, slightly whispering.
“It must’ve been too much of a shock for him today. He’s been like that for the past hours,” Junhyung answered.
Doojoon rolled his eyes upon the words. Well yeah, today an unknown idiotic moron blonde shoved ice cream to his beautiful face today. To his face, Yoon Doojoon’s face. He should be in shock.
Junhyung approached the leader despite the dark atmosphere that surrounded him. He nudged the elder by the shoulder, “What are you doing?”
Doojoon jerked away from the touch, “Can’t you hear my head working? I’m thinking of a way to really step on him.”
Junhyung didn’t need a name to know who ‘him’ was. It was the blonde from before. He shrugged it off, “Why are you thinking so hard? Just do like you always did.”
Doojoon perked up on the idea, “Since when do you get so smart?”
Doojoon gave out a smirk. You’re dead now, Yang Yoseob.

Everything seemed beautiful today. Everything seemed right. Yoseob’s been very happy since he got the infamous F4 Leader in humiliation. He really does deserve that. Yoseob hummed happily as he made his way to the locker to grab some books for class.
He opened his locker after unlocking them, and saw something that wasn’t there before. There was a red card. It read ‘F4’ and a drawing of a skull on it. Suddenly, he doesn’t feel all that happy anymore. This is certainly not a good sign. He heard running steps from behind.
A student screamed throughout the school, “It’s come out again! First grade class B Yang Yoseob has been chosen by the F4 with red card!”
It was an announcement that Yoseob was now the prey of the school. He took a deep breath in order to calm himself down, hoping this thing really wouldn’t affect him. Apparently he was wrong. Everything already started once he stepped into his class.
The class became eerily silent when he stepped in the class. All eyes were on him, the stares weren’t nice. He tried to act like nothing happened. He quickly walked to where my desk is, was. His desk is not here.
He didn’t know which female student said this, “Hello, crazy! Oops, your desk isn’t here. It mustn’t be here anyway. How could a low commoner like you study with us?”
The menacing laughs echoed through the room. Yoseob glanced around, even Krystal didn’t even seem want to act like she
actually knew him. He was alone in this battle.
That was just a little start of all the horrible things.
Yoseob tried to act normal. He threw away all books that the others wrote hateful comments. Now he’s used to sit on the floor while studying because his desk kept getting missing and he was tired of searching for it. He’d learnt to dodge if someone tried to kill him by dropping vase on top of his head. He always went to Hyunseung’s before heading home for a shower, so he won’t get questions from his parents if he was covered in dirt. It was flour at first, then they switched to eggs. Today it was oil. Fortunately the others haven’t tried to burn him alive like exorcising a witch.
Hyunseung eyed his best friends with worry. “Why don’t you drop out of that horrible school?” He suggested.
Yoseob shook his head, “If I do so, I’m doing something he wants. I’m not giving up this fast.”
“But…” Hyunseung trailed off, not being able to finish his sentence.
Yoseob stared into the space. His mind wandered a bit, going back to that particular day, moment.
He was literally covered in flours and eggs. Yoseob tried to hold back his tears in his way to the rooftop. He’ll just cry alone once he reached that place. He sniffled a bit, when a hand came with a handkerchief and wiped off the dirt from his face. He looked up. It was F4’s Son Dongwoon. He couldn’t really describe that feeling. Surprised, happy, confused mixed together. Why would this person even care? But Yoseob kept still while the male cleansed him.
“Your handkerchief!” Yoseob called Dongwoon with a rather loud voice when he saw the man was leaving.
“I don’t need it,” He said with an expressionless face.
Yoseob complied, “I’ll return it to you after I washed it next time.”
“I won’t be coming here anymore. It’s not as quiet as it was anymore, thanks to a certain someone.”
And just like that, Dongwoon walked away, again.

“Isn’t it all over now?”
Doojoon made a face to Kikwang, “Of course it’s not. Being bullied by other students won’t be enough. That boy needs to come to me, kneels down and beg for forgiveness. Then it’s over.”
Junhyung joined in the conversation, “It looks like he won’t even last a week.”
“A week? I’d say three days.” Kikwang said, “If I win, you have to hand me that tea ware that was on display last time, Jun.”
Junhyung suppressed his urge to scoff, “Ha. This coming from a Kikwang that couldn’t even distinguish a tea ware and a vase.”
Doojoon emitted his glare to the two, “Shut up you guys.” He’s feeling very annoyed. Why has the boy not come begging for mercy?
“He should be here by now, but why hasn’t he come?” Doojoon nagged.
Kikwang and Junhyung lifted up their shoulders in unison.
Junhyung winked at them, “Rather than spending the evening here, let’s go grab some food. It’s my treat.”
***
“Bon appetite!”
All exclaimed in glee, as they dug in to the delicious dishes in front of them.
Kikwang turned to Junhyung, “This restaurant only takes one group per week, and I’m still on the waiting list after I reserved a month beforehand. How did you do it, Junhyung?”
Junhyung doesn’t mean to brag, but among four of them, he’s the one who most got the way with the girls.
He remembered when he approached Michelle. It was rare meeting her in his usual shop; nonetheless he wouldn’t let this chance easily go away.
Micheline Guide, was confused to pink between the two plating. What he did was simple. He approached her and picked the elegant white one, “This one is better.”
She looked rather pleased with Junhyung’s gesture. She smiled, “You’re right. It’s a beauty.”
Junhyung gave out his wink, “Enough to make your cuisine even finer.”
The girl couldn’t help but gasped in surprised, “And just who told you that I was a chef?”
Junhyung’s lips quirked up into a smirk, while taking the silky hand and planted a peck on top of them.
“By your delicious looking hand.”
“And that’s how I got us here,” Junhyung clapped his hand together as he finished his story with a smirk.
Kikwang couldn’t hide his amazement, “Man, you’re really a player.”
Ring…Ring…Ring…
Doojoon picked up his phone. “What?” “Yes, okay. Do it right.”
Kikwang and Junhyung stared at their leader as he hung up the phone.
Kikwang was first to break the silence, “Why are you smiling to yourself like that?”
Doojoon was indeed smiling now. The plan should have been executed by now. After this, Yoseob would surely come begging for his life.
Junhyung took a guess, “Is it the flower boy?”
Kikwang mouthed an ‘O’, “Still? How long has it been now?”
Doojoon answered, “It’s been past a week.”
Junhyung raised a brow, “He does last a long time. Isn’t this a new record of surviving the red card?”
Doojoon waved his head, obviously not agreeing the statement. “It’s because I’ve been going easy on him. But now, just watch.” He paused before noticing that something was off, “How come I don’t see Dongwoon anywhere?”
Kikwang groaned, “Ah, that person must be stuck in a corner somewhere in this country dozing his head off.”
Doojoon nodded, “Well, I can imagine.” He checked his watch again, his people would have reached the blonde by now. He grinned to himself again, happy for the victory he’s about to receive.
***
Yoseob was on the rooftop again. It’s a soothing effect to just came up the place and everything just seemed alright. When he felt like crying, this is the first spot he would come to. Dongwoon wasn’t around anymore, one of the more reason he loves this place. He’s getting used to all the horrible things now. He watched as the sunset and decided to head home. He put the book he was reading into his bag and got up and made his way to the stairs.
What he didn’t see coming was a someone came out of the shade and grabbed him from behind, restraining him from escaping, while the other one stuffed his mouth with a clothing. Yoseob’s muffled scream goes unheard as he felt his consciousness started wearing off.
What’s happening?
