Before work this morning I changed the bedding in the chicken coop, tossed in some kitchen scraps, and watered the vegetable garden.

I just found out Green Day is playing Key Arena this Friday. If this were high school I would have bought tickets the moment they went on presale. I'll be out of town Friday, but it really goes to show you how much things can change.

I have been really tempted to buy MP3 downloads of albums instead of the real thing, and then I'm all "Oh, no! I'm killing record stores!" And then I end up with no music.

Anyway, listen to this.

Last weekend, the roommates and I hiked Mount Si. Turns out I'm not in as good of shape as I thought; we had to stop a lot. Near the top, though, we passed my brother on his way down.

I have been very happy and very sad all at once this month. There has been a lot of mom stuff: Mother's Day, her birthday, and now the news that my dad's girlfriend, Lisa, is moving in to the house. Why do so many moms die in movies? Finding Nemo, The Land Before Time, Sleepless in Seattle, Bambi -- Star Wars for christ's sake! Maybe I'm taking it a bit too personal, but I don't think Hollywood wants my money very much.

Today I decided I will be participating in the Bellingham Bay 5K. My uncle and cousins are running the half-marathon, but I just don't think I can train for that much in the next four months. 5K though, totally.
