Okay, as she reaches the door, she tosses the knife. Ideally, this might hit the rabbit through the head but if it doesn't, well, that's when she's going to make try #2 less than a moment later in the form of a pounce to try to get it in her arms. Her reaction times are on par with most rodent-like animals with the particular nervous system she has wired internally right now after all]

he looks up just as his ears pick out the sound of something whistle through the air. Fffuuuc-! Rearing back not a milisecond too soon, the knife thunks into the ground a hair's width away from his front paws, and takes the end of a few rabbit whiskers with it.
And immediately finds hands coming down straight for him. NOT COOL, but at least he has teeth for chomping!]
