A lot of people complain about Americans helping other countries when our own problems are bad enough, but I definitely agree with you. Even Americans that would be considered dirt poor are living the lap of luxury compared to many others. I imagine there are exceptions in both cases, but for the most part it's true. I think what you are doing is a good thing.
