Fugue In Red rambling...

So, I have just watched both Fugue In Red (4.10) and Always Bet On Red (4.11). I also re-watched Fugue In Red with my little sister. So that is why I am only putting my thoughts for Fugue In Red on here now. I wanted to make sure I got everything I wanted to talk about. I'll post my thoughts on Always Bet On Red later, when I re-watch that one.

Firstly, I picked the killer from the moment I saw him. The giveaway was probably the fitted sweater and the aversion to having police in his house.

I cannot believe what Jane said to Rigsby about Grace! ‘Tasty ginger snaps’, ‘open the cookie jar’, ‘luscious redhead’. THAT IS SO INCREDIBLY WRONG. Just no. I swear, I will kill Jane if he ever lays a hand on Grace, if Rigsby doesn’t get there first. And when they were watching the T.V., was Jane checking her out? Sooooo disturbing.

Also, I literally LOLed when Jane touched Lisbon’s ass. That was so funny. And when he said to her ‘there’s plenty of room here’ on the hospital bed. And also his line ‘the only time a man should be close to a fitted sweater is when he’s helping a woman out of one’. Oh, and the funny ‘that’s smoked kipper, also know as a red herring’ line and the giggle that accompanied it.

Jane was so funny without his memory! I couldn’t stop laughing.

Also, did anyone else notice how much Jane’s ‘responsible adult’ looked like Lisbon? Am I the only one?

One of the more touching moments of the episode was when Jane was being resuscitated and Lisbon was beside him, crying and holding her cross. I’m not a Jisbon shipper, but that moment really touched me. They really do mean a lot to each other. Also, the amount of fear that was in her voice when she was calling for help.

The memory palace was interesting. I loved the acronyms. ‘Kids Prefer Cheese Over Fried Green Spinach’ will most definitely help me pass Biology in the coming years. And who’s to say that The Mentalist hasn’t helped me with schoolwork?

The actual case was a bit ‘meh’, but I loved it anyways.

All in all, an AMAZING episode and I loved it to bits.

What were your thoughts?
