Today I feel dreadfully cheerfull, a Halloweenish feel combined with a decent post-Gencon dip after a great vacation in the UK and a weekend as good in Leuven with Frosty & Richard... utterly strange... More on the holiday later this week ( Read more... )

We're going for a spooky nightwalk, and some scary storytelling once we're back home. :)
Halloween is fun!

And the weekend was a lot of fun too. Thanks for coming by and running the game :)

I actually don't like Halloween at all, because what it basically has been doing the last 10 years is desanctifying All Saints Day.

This used to be a day of mourning and remembrance, about going to the graveyard and visit lost relatives and friends. Now it's pumpkin pies, halloween burgers and people dressed up like it's carnaval. I don't like it one bit.

That aside, the pumpkin you brought us has a prominent place in the house. :)

My guess is that you're Peter? But if not it doesn't actually make a difference :)

I feel a bit awkward since I think I should have realized that you feel that way. All Saints Day in my calvinistic country has no meaning whatsoever. But I know that in Belgium it is a religious day.

My apology because at no time do I want to force my religious believes (or on this point the lack thereof), not even subconsciously, on other people.

I am happy though that you appreciated the pumpkin!
