You're an incredible person, and I want you to know that every day of your life. Because even in the negatives of your personality you amaze me ceaselessly.

To be similarly passive-aggressive, I'm sorry that I'm not appropriately upset?

It didn't "make my world so lovely." I've just noticed throughout my dating "career," so to speak, that being just out of a relationship makes a person more malleable and open to changing parts of themselves they used to be certain would always be constant. All of a sudden there's a lot of free emotional energy/time to spend elsewhere, and making that decision is hard, but can be an opportunity to live deliberately, and make conscious choices rather than just running defaults.

Would it be nicer to be an emotional wreck & beat my breast in woe thrice daily?

I just don't see unkindness in trying to spin my own emotional responses into something positive & productive, from which I can learn & grow.
