Moby Dick is actually a pretty good book. It has some really good character studies, and the story is compelling.

I found it hard to get through some of the chapters devoted completely to the details of whaling, but overall it was a really interesting book. I'm glad I read it, although at the time I was reading it drove me nuts! : D
