Heeeeeeeeeyyyyy. So, I went away for an awkwardly long period of time. I blame the Muse explosion of news (not really, it was only two days and then some pictures today in which Matt cut his hair hallelujah) and then just a generally busy end to the week. So, I shall quickly update you with my going-ons and let you be on your way.
Ha, this will probably be long considering I haven't done a proper update in a while, so get ready for that:
- I took my second trip up to visit my friend at Northwestern. It was nice (aside from the five times we heard "Call Me Maybe" in the car). She took us on a little tour of the campus, we met a few of her friends and her roommate. Then we walked a bit around downtown Evanston and did some "shopping". We also grabbed early dinner, saw where my friend's new apartment for next year was going to be, and helped my friend take a few things home. Meaning a box full of her movies, some laundry, and a dress for a wedding she was going to on Saturday. SUBSTANTIAL WORK YOU GUYS.
- I...had my first therapy appointment in about six years. That was weird. Not bad, just weird. I have my next appointment this Friday and I'm frankly a bit terrified because I have to talk about planning things for myself and changing things I've been used to for over 20 years. It's weird to think about being different, that's all.
- I've decided I'm going to do an art post en masse at the end of my Digital Illustration class so you can see all of the things I put together for it, but we finished up the corgi project, worked on an icon project, and are now working through an illustrated map project. I hate drawing maps so this isn't my favorite.
- THE EUROS STARTED. I'm sorry, I just love soccer. Because Spain is my team and has been for a few years now, so I want to see them rock it this year. Again.
- I went to an art fair on Sunday. It was fun except I got really heat sick afterwords and basically incapacitated myself for the rest of the day. I found some really funny pieces, though, so maybe I'll share those when I'm not in a rush to post
- I started my second summer school class yesterday. Introduction to Mass Communications. My friend took this class with the same professor and hated it, so we'll see how this goes. So far it doesn't seem so bad.
Annnd in other, completely spaz related news:
- Muse announced UK and European tour dates for later this year. Needless to say, I'm worried they'll hit America while I'm in Australia and Australia when I come back home. There will be tears everywhere if this is the case.
- I also got a Chris tweet:
- Needless to say, I'm pleased about that.
- I finished Once Upon A Time. You know, that TV show about fairytales that ruins your feelings? Yes. I finished it. AND IT NEEDS TO START UP AGAIN NOW BECAUSE OF REASONS.
- True Blood also started up again. I won't spoil it in case some people haven't watched it yet, but holy bejeezus Eric. And Pam. And Tara. And EVERYONE. Except maybe Sookie. She's starting to annoy me again.
- I also watched the season finale of Supernatural finally. I don't know if I'm still in shock or I'm really just that used to the drama at this point, but I have a surprising lack of emotions towards the end. Except my Castiel feelings. I always have those though.
Annnnd that is my life right now. Carry on my wayward son!
Oh wait, just kidding one more thing. Lollapalooza schedule got released. Needless to say, I am freakishly pleased with how it's scheduled this year as opposed to last year. No choosing between artists. I get to happily hit up all my bands that I want to see. Thank god.
