Texas has situated himself in the grandest sitting room he could find. He's also taken over the decor, giving it a decidedly Texas theme. It's his statehood and he fully intends to celebrate it properly, by watching reruns of the Longhorns and cracking open a cold one.

He raises an eyebrow at the Coors, It ain't Texan. but accepts none the less. While it isn't Texan it is free.
"Thank ya there, Mattie boy. An' A good Birthday it is, come one wan' ta join me fer a game?" Beer and football has always put Texas in a good mood, especially when he's winning.

Yeah. Hope ya like it. [ It's plainly wrapped and, like her nature, a useful present: winter clothes ("Because it's cold here and you probably don't have proper clothes" reads the card) and a large variety of seeds for starting a vegetable garden in the summer. ]

He opens it up, smiling down at the clothes.
"Well thank you kindly Miss Kaye. These'll do me right good. Your right about my lack a' winter clothin'." He pushed himself up off the couch with a grunt before opening his arms. "Come here an' let me thank you proper."

[wanders over in curiosity and leans on the back of the couch.]
