We need an alternative civilization. It need not be antithetical to everything that we have now. May be it will be an evolution of civilization as we know it now, assuming our civilization stays long enough to witness the evolution

if we do not let TV, marketing and the media control the lives of people - that would be a starter. current civilization will evolve (and i think is constantly evolving) in all directions - for better and for worse.. because of people like you and your opposites.

if you follow up your thoughts with action - that change would have already started in the world. if you just think about it, write about it, and move on - the effect is limited to creating awareness in people with no action.

today your opposites are working in full swing towards a consumeristic society. but not anymore, for every step you keep forward they will go many steps backward:o)
