H--… hello?

Is this how you…? [There’s a faint muttering in the background, and several clicking noises. Somebody seems to be fumbling with the communicator.]

Oh, is it-- can you hear me? Anyone?

U-um, I’m not quite sure where I--…. I feel like an idiot talking to myself like this.

[…And then it clicks off, but not before a few moments of rustling and ( Read more... )

Hello? [Riku said into the communicator as he heard the rather quiet voice speak.] Are you alright?

[...Oh. So it does work like that. The voice on the other end sounds... very familiar, but right now, she's a little too busy looking around at all the giant furniture to really attempt to place it.]

Yes, I'm fine. But where am I?

...And why is everything huge?

They call this place the Vardskepp. It's pretty much a giant ship that we all got stuck on. [Riku sighed a bit in frustration at the situation as he was still in his room.]

The reason everything is so big is because the owner of this place made everyone here small. I don't know what this guy is thinking but I'm stuck in my room.

[...................................]

[Oh yeah, she knew that voice. What he was saying barely even registered, because she was too busy staring at the little device with wide eyes. She hadn't known what to make of this place, but she'd been beginning to wonder if she was dead, and this was supposed to be the underworld -- or heaven. But the underworld was her most terrifying and most likely choice. If he was here, though...]

Riku?

W-well, I wasn't sure if it was actually working.

Is this place always so huge?

I've heard it's bigger than Shibuya! But I haven't seen anything yet, because I haven't been able to leave my room yet.

Bigger than...?

[Unfortunately for Naminé, she has no idea who or what 'Shibuya' is -- or, more likely, where it is. If they were talking about places, then it was probably a 'where'... right?]

[A-anyway, she decides not to ask. Not about that, anyway.]

...I meant the furniture. And the rooms. It really shouldn't be this large, should it? That doesn't make any logical sense.

Why can't you leave?

I know, it's just-- I didn't know if I was talking to myself or if anyone could hear me.

It does.

I still wish I knew what was going on, though. Ending up here just... doesn't make any sense.

I'm pretty sure we all feel a little silly at first about talking to the communicator.

...Yes.

I... hear he's told Riku about some things. He's spoken to you too, right?
