One of the things I hate most in most people I meet is that they do not have a decent understanding of just how little each of us knows. Sure, I probably know more about the war in Iraq than most everyone I know, but there is still plenty I don't know. But I see people who watch the news AND THEN they scour the INTERNET for all the tidbits that the NEWS didn't want to TELL THEM about... that's an attempt at sarcasm, but people tend to think that if they go to two sources, especially if one is THE INTERNET, that they then have both sides to the story. But what if there are more than two sides, as there almost always are in such cases... People need to see that they have gaping holes in their information, and then evaluate first and foremost whether or not they have enough information to create an opinion which they can actually pay some heed to. We form opinions automatically, so you can't stop yourself from doing it, but you can know whether or not it has any strength or validity.
