Ah, Fireworks, I'd Say I Missed You but I Haven't

I should be more excited that the Fourth of July is tomorrow but honestly, it is going to annoy me. Our neighborhood is fantastic at ruining holidays and days of remembrance with their insane antics. As I type I can hear the shrill sounds of men yelling and lighting off tons of flares, fireworks, etc. I suppose this may make me sound like a stick

Well, did you go see them?

The last time I went to see fireworks was about two years ago. It was actually the first time I watched them while riding in a boat. They were beautiful (as most fireworks are) but the mood was totally ruined by the mosquitoes. I remember when I got home I scratched and tore my skin up for days. I kind of made a silent vow to myself right then and there to never do that again. And besides, the display of fireworks doesn't mean as much to me as it did when I was smaller.

I forgot that I never did make a follow up journal. I did go see them since I figured I should.

Fireworks have been something I just have never found a huge amount of pleasure in; I liked them more as a kid but I was not a huge fan of loud noises so it was not the best for me to begin with. However, I liked going to them much more when I was younger. We do not do anything for 4th of July other than go see the fireworks. Ah, well, it was nice to sit and talk with my family; my mother got of work early so she actually got to see the fireworks this year.
