Another Day to Rant

Oct 18, 2014 21:57

I realize that months have flown by since last I wrote a proper journal entry, and days since I last posted anything not inspiration-related. School has been busy and will only get worse from here on out thus I expect no consistent entries until Thanksgiving break when one of my biggest papers (and stress level) will be done. Beyond that, life has ( Read more... )

I never have anything interesting to say either. I just like keeping this journal to type down all the thoughts in my head and I do like talking with people on here. Even though the latter doesn't happen often, everybody I've "met" on livejournal has been really nice and cool.

I've yet to purchase Mass Effect and probably won't till Christmas, but I am looking forward to trying the game out. It really does look very cool and interesting. Most of my days (especially now that it's getting cold) are spent reading. I'm actually quite proud of myself for finishing a handful of books in just a weeks span. *pats self on back*

Anyway, I hope you do well on your paper and I hope you have fun at the fair. Sounds interesting.

P.S.
I'm actually getting Godzilla today. Was it any good?

I often do not as well. However, I have realized that I have so many thoughts in my head that I should at times share them with the world to hopefully engage the world. I think the reason I feel like I have nothing to say is because I assume that I must have a grand life to say anything. But I have realized, and reflected, that maybe I too have a voice worth hearing. And maybe by only talking about my "day" I am excluding all the great philosophical and weighty thoughts that extend beyond that. I realize I have these thoughts and express them in my real life but not necessarily in my journaling. I have decided to change that and if people comment, fine, and if they don't then I will keep questioning and asking anyways ( ... )

If you don't mind me asking, what are you majoring in? I don't recall ever asking or reading it in any of your entries.

All of them were ones I stopped reading halfway or so because either life got in the way or I no longer enjoyed the plot/characters. So it didn't take long to finish half-read books.

Haha! Well, I did and I enjoyed it greatly. Out of the two American adaptations of Godzilla, this newest one is more faithful to the original series. I liked the characters, the plot, and of course the CGI work was breathtaking. Definitely worth a watch.

I saw Winter Soldier a few weeks ago. I liked it, but after a few weeks I can't tell you one thing that happened. Certainly not a film that's memorable. Well, at least to me.

I am an English major.

I wish I could pick up a half-read book like that. If I stopped reading for more than a month I just re-read what I read beforehand because I feel I won't remember it properly any other way.

I know I will watch it eventually and my brother liked it who is an avid fan of the original Godzilla movies, etc.

I think most of the super-hero movies are like that. I do remember, though, in the original Captain America movie I always remember the scenes with Steve and the doctor because I thought they were really impactful. Otherwise I often forget or do not care to remember even if I can say I "liked" the movie. I liked the Winter Soldier but it will just be another thing I have watched and will probably not truly care to see again.
