My ever popular twice a year report.
I never know how to format these. So I will try and make it a very simple outline of the last year of events.
-I celebrated my one year anniversary in January with my wife. It was nice, quiet and subdued.
-I celebrated my one year of owning the house with my wife. It was nice, quiet and subdued.
-I am celebrating the holidays over the last few weeks with my friends. It was nice, quiet and subdued.
-The house is much more completed. This week is the big grind on the guest bathroom. I am haivng contractors assist me and my beautiful wife. The house takes so much of my extra time that I find myself nice, quiet and subdued because I am exhausted, bruised and tormented. (The house torments me. I am sure of it.)
-I went to cam event (SW regional) and met up with Tyson, Doug, Erik, Wolf, Julie, Jim and Sean. It was nice, quiet and subdued.
-I receieved Lasik on both of my eyes in November. They are working great. It is an immense difference than my glasses. My focus distance is different. My night sight is recovering but is not where it was at. Overall, correcting my eyesight was completely and definitively worth it. I had coke bottle glasses and now I don't.
-I had sleep apnea (and snored loudly). My wife asked that I see a doctor about it. I went and did a sleep study that had amazingly scary results. I received a cpap machine that forces a positive air pressure down my throat to keep it open and let me sleep better. It makes a huge difference. I love it. I have more energy... which i use on my house and my wife.
-Work is busy. I have more flexibility now that I pointed out to my boss that he doesn't have anyone that can do what I do. I have a crazy and unusual schedule. This gives me a lot of slack to take a day off and work on the house.
-I played a bit of World of Warcraft. I got a character up to 60. This is probably because I don't game as much anymore and every now and then I need to take a break or let my bruises heal.
-I was glad I got to show my house to the seattle crew. It made me feel better that they could look upon why I can't run them in Kult. But while I work on the house I get plenty of ideas for games I could run... someday... in the future.
-I am happy. I am boring as hell but I am happy. Content.
This is a good start to an update. I should really do more later... like comment on reading other's LJ's that made me realize that we all have monumental problems but get through them.
