Pittsburghers do not like to cross bridges to go places (except work), so I've never really been there. (I've gotten out of my shell and made it to the South Side when I've been back, though, instead of always staying in Bethel Park, South Park, and Baldwin/Whitehall/Brentwood.)
Wow. Reminds me of when Hurricane Rita was coming here, shortly after Katrina did its thing. Our neighbor across the back fence was away somewhere and her backyard was filled with patio furniture and old flowerpots full of dirt. We were worried about all that stuff becoming projectiles during the storm, but we couldn't get hold of her to discuss getting it stored in shelter, so my dad and I took matters into our own hands. I climbed the fence and passed everything over to Dad, and then we stowed it all in our garage. After the storm, we put it all back.
Probably not - most of the damage was in the South Hills, especially in the north section of Bethel Park - near my dad's house and along the Bethel - Baldwin border near Cool Springs.

My folks live in Pittsburgh but are away right now. I'm hoping they don't return home to any damage.
