In keeping with my odd-numbered attendance of Convergence I am making plans to attend C15 on the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Is anyone planning on attending this event in July or just skipping this one? So far I have been to C7, C11, C13 (I would have attended C9 but we were on call for the invasion of Iraq in 03'). i probably won't go since i'm not into that sort of thing. . .but have you been on the queen mary before? it's incredibly dusty/stuffy/etc. even the displays in the tour area are covered in dust. although it is neat to walk around in and do the tour and such. especially the "scary" tour or whatever. ;) are you staying in one of the rooms on the ship? if you have dust allergies you may want to rethink that! a colleague of mine stayed there and was sick for a week afterwards.

From what I read the Queen Mary is under new management and the dust issues have been solved. I am not so interested in the locale as much as the people and the fun. It's just nice to be able to meet people who are like minded from around the world. Last time I went it was lots of Syko/SubK peeps like CatBoo, Lucki, Chastity, Warped, and more and I had an amazing time. Everyone is there to let their hair down and enjoy some good music and friendliness! You should come and bring Wolf! You might actually like Jess!

I don't have dust allergies or anything like that :P

I have no roomates as of yet and yes, I am looking still. Be nice to split the cost of rooming so I can put that money towards transport and such. If you are interested let me know. I don't mind rooming with you as long as you accept that I snore and only sleep like 5 hours a night!

I was thinking about setting up a Subkultures.net/Sykospark table for vending and membership. We have talked about it before but I have never pursued it much. I will hit you up later for some insight into the whole vending Convergence process!

I think they will add more bands later. I mean the bands are great and Portland had a great lineup which I think was as good as C7s. I can't imagine Convergence with only one band. So far it sounds like a beach keeger with some DJs. If it turns into that we can always head into the city for Perversion or whatever nights are going on in LA (looks are LA peers).
