My friend works as a floor manager in the Ziggo Dome. She provided mee with free tickets to Madonna this weekend. It was ridiculously awesome! So okay, you could distinguish the parts she playbacked from parts she actually sang easily but it still was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. You can never have heard of Madonna and still have a ( Read more... )

I saw your tweet about; I'm really happy that you had such a great time at the concert! :-)
Also, "True Blue" is still such a great record. I'm pretty sure we sung about half of the songs from it during my years in the choir because my teacher was just as enthusiastic.

PS: Lovely to see you updating! :-)

True Blue never gets old. Or maybe I'm just telling myself that.

Ah yes, the one time I have something worth updating that doesn't involve my kids. Had to take advantage of that. Now I can let people believe I go out and have a life ;)

Actually the hubby was in the process of bidding on tickets as a surprise for me when my friend came along with the tickets. She knew what the hubby was doing so they managed to keep it a surprise. I came home from work, there was a sitter, the hubby told me to dress up, took me to dinner and then the concert. It was wonderful!

I had True Blue in vinyl. It was actually blue, instead of black. I thought that was sooooo totally cool. :)

I still love Madonna! Who doesn't?

I saw her in concert for her Girlie tour. So wonderful. It was pouring with rain and it was delayed, and we thought it was going to be cancelled, but she came out on stage and said that she didn't feel like she could cancel when we were all standing out in the rain waiting for an hour. Although the rain did mean that they couldn't do all their 'stunts'.

I'm a lousy fan that I didn't know that. That is so awesome and way cooler than my tape!

And she still does that, the show started an hour and fifteen minutes late, but it was worth the wait. It was quite a spectacular multi media happening. Actually my friend warned me, so we were an hour late as well - lols.

Well, I can't say if she does it all the time, but she definitely waited for the rain to ease. It was pouring at one stage! That was the one where they were up the poles dancing etc. Bit dangerous in the rain.

Well she did it both nights she played Amsterdam. I think she pretty much does what she feels like. My friend had to stay clear from a big area they usually use when working because it was unlimits. She certainly had more demands than Pearl Jam!

Vogue is an awesome song, works very well live with all those dancers. It was great getting away. I really should do it more. There's so much to do in the city and it's not much trouble getting a sitter. Why don't I do that????
