We took the kids to the Hermitage museum yesterday. There was an exhibition on Van Gogh

Feya: Who painted this?

Me: Vincent

Feya: Vincent? Where is he now.

Me: He's not around anymore, he's dead.

Feya: Dead? Why?

Me: These paintings were painted over a hundred years ago, people rarely live that long.

It was totally adorable. I love that kids her age are so inquisitive and still like everywhere you take them. In a couple of years they'll probably think it's boring.

I love that they really enjoy going to these things. And one of the great things about living in the middle of Amsterdam is that they are nearby and you can just go for an hour or so. Today we went to the library to get a book on van Gogh. He's a hit!

I'm here to stay though, I just purchased a payed account cause I really couldn't handle all the commercials anymore. Very sad to see that a lot of my old friend are not really around anymore though.

Oh, congrats on your paid account! And it's good to read that you're sticking around.
I have a paid account as well and have been wondering whether I should keep it or not. But even if I decide to cancel the paid account, I won't leave lj either. It's nice talking or writing about things on here, even if it's a bit slower.

I really think paid accounts are overrated. I don't really care about icon space etc. It was just that the ads kept on multiplying and they were driving me crazy. I don't need moving ads after every post. I really felt those dollars were well spend. But now I have a paid account I do feel like I need to post more often and be around more. And while I'm at it, I'll have to find some new icons as well - lols. I think I need some SG1 ones as well, I'm really into sam/jack these days ♥
