Or whatever you want to call it.  I can up with a pretty neat story for Rahlik's origin and I wanted to type it out before I forgot any of it.

Rahlik's mother was actually a Blood Elf mage who was part of the rebuilding of Quel'Thalas.  She had fallen in love with a Night Elf warrior who was assisting in the battle against the scourge years ago.  ( Read more... )

Very cool. I like your how the story worked geographically. It would be easier for Rahlik's mom to go to Ironforge rather than to cross to where the life Tree is. Rahlik doesn't seem so tree-huggy anyways so it make sense that he'd grown up in a mountain.

It's funny how most of our character's stories take us away from our lineage. Rylianna was born and raised in Teldrassil, enlisted into the military at a young age (due to her archery skills), but soon found a distaste for the Night Elves' lack of emotion (specifically hatred) towards the enemy who had slaughtered many of their people. When the Cenarion council told her to keep her emotions at bay lest she loose her ties with nature, she brushed them aside and left seeking the company of Humans who happened to share her hatred.

Thusly, Rylianna also doesn't have much of a connection with Darnassus other than her past. She spends most of her time with Stormwind. She and Mallace actually met in Darkshire since she choose the dark, dank woods as her ground for brooding.

Woulda done somethign different if I'd have stuck with the Druid instead of the Rogue... but with Rahlik's engineering, it wouldn't have made sense to have been raised in Teldrassil or any other NELF town. I guess neither of our characters are TOTAL tree-huggers anyway. ^_^

So timeline wise this doesn't make too much sense though... as Crow pointed out as I help him movie shite in Tucson. This would make Rahlik way too young. So... it's have to be some other point in the Blood Elf timeline when he was born... probably before they even took on the name Blood Elf. So his mother would have been considered a "High Elf" instead, I guess. Crow's suggestion, which I may use, is that she was pregnant when the High Elves were exiled for not embracing the druidic nature the Night Elves were taking on and left for Arathi Highlands. This may in turn make Rahlik too old... I'm not too sure on the specifics of NELF and BELF biology (i.e. Lifespan, gestation period, age at which chilren reach maturity, ect.) Anyway, this is my idea for a story for him that I thought was cool. ^_^
