PPS: I found that article, and not least some of the comments, to be downright scary and depressing. Just yesterday another friend posted something including lyrics from Madonna's 'What it Feels Like For a Girl':

The commenter who talked about (Firefly) Mal's masculine traits brought it right back to mind. I just feel very disheartened about the state of things.
