001 Feather Fell

The silver-haired child, appearing to be no more than six or seven in age, wandered shyly through the streets of Vatheon, intimidated by the tall, unfamiliar buildings. This wasn't Shibuya, in fact he doubted he was even in Japan at this point. The people milling about paid him no mind, and he rubbed the back of his hand nervously, not noticing that it was where his brand was. His mother and father would be furious if he didn't get back soon...though, he doubted that they were even home. They were on a business trip, and he had made them promise to come back for New Year's, at least. He wanted to see them on his birthday, after all!
Joshua shivered, bringing his thoughts back after a forceful reminder that he wasn't home. He was getting homesick, and more lost than he had ever been before. At least if he had his stuffed rabbit he would be a little comfortable, but Arthur wasn't with him right now.
Though, it was weird that it was so warm for it being December. He couldn't help wondering why that was.
Maybe I should ask for directions.... Joshua nibbled on his lip, debating between walking up to a stranger and being cautious. After all, his teachers had told him that it was bad to talk to an adult he didn't know. He wasn't sure what to do as he continued to walk.
