02. WVAT First broadcast!

[ So you might be going about your business, Vatheon. Reading, tending to flowers, bugging your roomate, whatever... but then something will catch your attention. It's static. Yes, static, white snow, kshhhhshshshshshhhh coming from that radio in your living quarters.
There will be a minute of static and though you may be tempted to turn it off, don't. Stay and you'll hear what sounds like fumbling and a strange drumming sound that sounds like someone tapping on a mike. ]
Test... testing... Hey. Is this thing on?
[ And a pause. ]
Blair! You did it! I think it's working!
[ It's Luka and you can detect a great amount of excitement in his voice. ]
Well don't just stand there! Get over here and say something!
[ Again, you get another pause. Then there's a fumble as he drags someone over to the mike with him. Then you hear another voice. ]
Testing? Is this transmitting? It seems like it... Hello. This is Blair Lansfeld. Luka Redgrave and myself have fixed up a radio station here in Vatheon. We'd like to use it, but it requires a lot of work. As of this time, we would like to seek out volunteers willing to help with this work.
So... if anyone wants to lend us a hand, our SFCs are open. We need people who can help us gather news, people who can help keep maintenance on the equipment... that sort of thing.
[ And with that the transmission cuts. ]
