Wataru eased himself into the Larmline building and made his way quietly up the stairs to Gamzee's old apartment. He slid inside and looked around--most of Gamzee's things had been with him when he'd come to live with Wataru, but Wataru knew he'd left some things behind. He gathered the rest of them up carefully and tried not to make too much noise--it was mostly Faygo and face paint, but he knew both of those things would cheer Gamzee up, and that made the trip worth it.
That still didn't mean he wanted to get caught, though.
He slid quietly out the door again and tried to tug it gently shut, but his hand slipped on some stray paint and the condensation-slick side of a bottle of Faygo, and the door slammed instead. Wataru froze, his heart pounding hard in his throat, before he started to make his way carefully toward the stairs, hoping that nobody noticed.
