[Touka had never realized how much time school took up in her life. She wasn't a big scholar, but she had always liked the talking-to-people aspect of school. The socializing. The structure. Here.......well, she ran out of things to do pretty quick, and spent a lot of time wandering around. And there really wasn't THAT much town.
She was currently so bored that she had checked out an educational book from the library and sat down at an outdoor cafe to read it. The extra-caramel latte she had ordered was beside her, and she stirred it absentmindedly as she read.
And then, suddenly, it occurred to her. She was READING a BOOK from the LIBRARY. On the NANBAN TRADE PERIOD. While DRINKING COFFEE. The complete lack of social structure in this place was TURNING HER INTO HER BROTHER. NOOOO!!!!!!! She could already feel her eyesight going from the small print! Next thing you know she'd need glasses! Before you know it she would only own one outfit and walk around all grumpy all the time, only opening her mouth to nag people! And only listen to boring classical music! OH GOD NO!!! She looks up frantically and says the next part aloud without thinking.]
