A certain young god feels that presence the instant the witch releases her Soul Protect. Medusa's soul is unmistakable, and Kid really should go and find Liz and Patti and end this right now, but he's on the opposite side of Vatheon from his weapons, and so he heads straight for the witch, blazing through the sky on his skateboard.

It takes seconds to get to the clearing, and he doesn't stop when he gets there, just kicks off of Beelzebub and sends the skateboard heading straight for the witch's head.

"Medusa!"

She lets out something like a growl of frustration and sends up another Vector Storm, this time maintaining it to protect herself on all sides.

He can keep up the attack for a while longer, giving no sign of even attempting to switch his attack to more than one point on the witch's defense.

She's getting tired of playing defense. Launching herself back and high into the air on her tail snake, she sends a practically unholy amount of arrows at kid.

"You're a foolish child. Every bit your father's son."

He dives backwards, flipping out of range of most of the arrows. A few slice into him, tearing slits in his clothing and opening gashes on his skin, ripping into one arm and down his chest. He will heal quickly enough that the injuries won't be a problem, but at the same time, even letting the witch land a hit is abhorrent to him. That parting shot about his Honorable Father doesn't help his anger ( ... )

Medusa's eyes widen. She certainly feels it before she sees it. She flings herself out of the way with little hope of moving in time, focusing her energy on defensive strength now. She knows she's seriously miscalculated, but the sight and feel of so much power brings a breathless smile in spite of her situation.
