Enma is out for a walk when- hey- is that his good buddy Tsuna over there?

"Tsuna-kun! What are you doing here? Why are you--- "

He would have finished that question "wet?" but he stopped himself. The poor kid quickly becomes flustered when he realizes that this guy's not Tsuna but someone else he knows. Sorta.
"Ah.. sorry... I thought you were a friend of mine."

Giotto blinked and turned to the side just as someone who had been talking to him said that they mistook him for someone else. The blond smiled at the boy, and opened his mouth to say that it was fine when he actually got a look of the person talking to him. His words died in his throat, and Giotto's amber eyes grew wide as he stared. There was no way this could be who he thought it was. A small part of him said it could be, Giotto hadn't heard from his other best friend since his last letter apologizing for... well everything.

It was only a small part though. This boy, though he had Cozart's hair and eyes, was much too small, and he felt different. Not to mention he wasn't wearing a hat...

Giotto managed a small, weak smile at the red haired boy. "It's alright, you look like a dear friend of mine as well."

Enma blinks a few times, trying to make sure that he isn't making any mistake. This is definitely the first boss of the Vongola here in front of him, his eyes aren't playing tricks.
Still, this is pretty weird. Giotto, you're ten generations away from where you're supposed to be.

"You're not... a ghost, are you?"

Giotto laughed, he really couldn't help it. He hadn't been able to laugh freely in awhile, and this wasn't the kind of thing he was asked everyday. "I sure hope not! That would make this the afterlife wouldn't it? G wouldn't like it very much if I died before him."

That thought almost made him stop laughing abruptly, instead he laughter turned to chuckles, and faded from there as he caught his breath a little. Was he dead? He certainly wasn't in his home in Japan, or even back in the streets Italy. "What's your name boy?" He asked curiously.

"I'm Enma Kozato," he answers, put at ease by Giotto's high spirits. "Uhm... I know who you are. You don't need to introduce yourself. I know that you're Vongola Primo."

Kozato... Someone, possibly Daemon if this was the man's illusion, had a very bad sense of humor. Having him meet with a kid who not only looked enough like a supposed dead man, but had a last name that sounded so close to said man's first name? "It's a pleasure to meet you then Enma Kozato." He said with a smile.

When Enma said that he knew Giotto was the Vongola Primo the blond's guard went up. "Vongola?" He asked sounding curious. "That's the Italian word for clam isn't it? I certainly don't think I look like a clam..." He added looking down at him self as if he were making sure that he really didn't look like a clam. The name of his one time vigilante group rolled off his tongue like he was born saying it. Giotto knew he couldn't deny being Italian, but he could deny having been part of that family, and he would. As far as Giotto knew his life depended on it.

"... Is it?" Enma asks, completely honest. Enma doesn't speak any Italian- how is he supposed to know what it means? He also maybe isn't so keen on picking up that Giotto might not be hesitant with letting his status and relationship with the mafia slip. Enma hadn't really bothered before about Giotto's history beyond his relationship with the first Shimon. "Aren't you the one that picked the name?"

Giotto nodded his head, "Yes, I've studied Italian for awhile. I believe that means clam." When the boy asked if he had been the one who picked the name Giotto offered Enma another smile, "Perhaps you have mistaken me for someone else again?" He suggested trying to keep any regret that came with his lying from showing. He did feel bad, because Enma did seem like a bad kid, and he reminded Giotto of Cozart a bit.

Enma blinks again at him. He's sure that you are who he thinks you are.
"... I guess I could be," he says but squints and frowns a bit. "You really aren't the first Vongola boss? I remind you of Shimon Cozart, right? ...I know I look like him."

Sorry for disappearing. I got a bit busy. ^^;; sky_flame_on June 30 2011, 14:23:09 UTC
For a moment Giotto doesn't know if he is going to laugh or maybe cry. Enma wasn't letting go of this very easily. "I am not Vongola Primo." He said firmly. He paused, as if thinking about what he would say next. "I did have a friend with that name though, and yes you remind me of him a lot."

no worries! loserenma June 30 2011, 14:37:49 UTC
Enma was so certain that he knew who you were- but you sure are insistent that you aren't. He probably doesn't realize how cautious you could be.
"Oh... Sorry. I guess I'm confusing you with someone else again."

He would have excused himself and left to save any more embarrassment, but he's too curious to know-
"...What was Cozart like?"

That's alright Enma is young, and presumably fairly innocent. Giotto didn't expect him to understand his need to be cautious. "It's alright Enma."

At the question about Cozart Giotto blinked, and smiled fondly, "He was a good man. A little crazy, and very good at getting me to do things, but a good man who cared very much for others." The blond had gotten over the strangeness of talking about his friend in the past tense awhile ago. They were still friends, he and Cozart, and Giotto was sure they would always be friends.

Hearing such nice things about his ancestor puts a small smile on Enma's face, and he chuckles softly.
"I hope I can be more like him some day."
