Have a red head who was on his way back home from a bit of out of class practice [jacket around his waist as it's grass stained], but is now just half blinking.

Yes, he thought you lived / were married to the coat and gloves ok?]

Somewhat. It's a play from my home world; a good friend was overly fond of it. I never read it personally though, so I thought I might read it for myself for once.

The story tells of three men who are friends and their quest to find the fabled "Gift of the Goddess".

That was never actually explained...[He falls quiet and the feline-eyes gain something of a distant look as his mind turns to Genesis and his quest for his cure.]

[Silver would never admit it, but the feline eyes were kinda cool in a way.] Like some of the myths back home...Heh. It seems like most stories that involve deities are like that.

[...Never mind that his own myths and stuff are very much real back home.]

[Silver gets graced with a small faint smile as he pushes the memory away again for the time being.]

Keeps the allure and mystery around them alive I imagine if you don't know everything about them.

.. I guess. Though at home we know a lot about of the 'myths'. [... He's not sure how much is known if he was truthful.] Though, wouldn't be better to know more than less - even if it 'detracts' from what the mystery?

Sometimes it destroys the very thing you're seeking if you learn too much about it, or so I've been told. [a small pause] I imagine they mean that you might favor the mystery of it more than what it actually turns out to be.

Sometimes things which seem to be what you desire to obtain aren't anything that you actually want once you do obtain them.

Maybe. Maybe not. It's.... hard to say really. [A thoughtful pause here.] Hmph, even if the truth was overplayed, I'd still want to find out.

[And then lineface forever because Arcues - the mystery was better!]

How do you know?

[How does one explain they're something of a living example of it? Considering the way Shinra PR treated his image and promoted him to gain recruits and then the actual truth, it was something of a similar idea really. Military life was not as glorified as they made it sound and fame meant nothing when you found yourself losing friends during the war.

Also there was the issue of science...he had often when younger been interested in this or that until he'd been treated to the sight of it laid bare before him, all of its nature revealed for everyone who cared to see it. Seeing science lay bare things which had previously looked unexplainable hadn't exactly been pleasant either.]

Personal experience, you might say..
