[Yusuke's spirit energy flared wildly, as if baiting those who knew him to come to his quarters. He stood quietly on the branch of a tree on the northern end of the forest, closer to the abandoned forest. He said nothing and waited patiently, like an animal stalking prey.

His appearance not quite sinister. No. It was actually rather calm when it came down to it. His goal was to bring his friends, wasn't it? He was expecting Kuwabara at the very least.]

[ The moment he had gotten almost acquainted with his old red haired friend was the moment he almost slumped over at the compelling energy that was emitting from a certain location. He was pretty damn surprised to be running around so much without any leads to following the reiki signal like a red arrow. He kept running and running trying to get as fast as he could. Hopefully Kurama had taken note as well and following. He had forgotten to wait for his friend but he certainly wasn't as fast as Kurama or Hiei so it wouldn't be hard to catch up with. ]

URAMESHIIII!!!!!!!!!!!

[ He shouted through the forest as if attracting the teen's attention. He hoped that Yusuke's sudden flare of reiki wasn't a bad sign but for some reason he was having a really bad feeling about all of this. ]

[Kurama sensed that energy, naturally. Though he was not as sensitive as Kuwabara, there was no chance of him missing that. It was almost disturbingly like a signal, he noted. Not only was he following the often more-reckless teen, he had managed to catch up to him at last; the boy might have been right to think he was not as fast as the fox, but he was underestimating the power of his own determination, and Kurama had required some effort to rejoin him. As he matched his stride to his friend's, Kurama cautioned him.]

Be careful, Kuwabara. Remember, whatever was strong enough to capture Yusuke must be of noteworthy strength...

[True, the fox knew that Yusuke's utter disregard for strategy was as likely to land him into trouble as anything else, but Yusuke as he had known him was easily strong enough to win many battle by raw power. He had no wish to walk into a trap, much less one inclined to be that strong.]

[Oh! Kurama's here too?! What an unexpected, but pleasant surprise. More the merrier he supposed. Yusuke's serious tone shifted to that of a grin in an instant. Not that this was new.]

What the hell took so long? I was getting cold in this shitty weather.

[ Kuwabara didn't walk straight up to Yusuke knowing that the teen had something seriously wrong with him at the moment. He didn't want to approach just yet. Hell, if he could help it, he would rather be avoiding the teenager right now. At least avoid a fight with Yusuke. Who knows what might happen if a fight broke loose but it didn't look like anything else solved the problem at the moment.

When he heard Kurama's voice as he stopped not too far from him. He gave him a glance with that understanding look. ]

Yeah I get ya. It take some serious skill ta kidnap Urameshi. I'm gettin' this weird vibe from Urameshi like it ain't normal.

[ He replied trying to explain his situation. The comment Yusuke made only agitated Kuwabara even further because he really was worried about his friend and that just wasn't the words he was looking for. ]

Is that the first thing ya say when ya flare your reiki like freaking strobe lights?!

[ He retorted. ]

[Kurama merely nodded in response to Kuwabara's observation. One did not need particular sensitivity to determine that something was wrong here.

He stopped to stand by Kuwabara's side, almost opposing Yusuke by the position. A fight, he understood, would not be in anyone's favor, but there were other kinds of force they could try to use before it came to that.

His own comment followed quickly, disallowing any possibility for a silence to settle. He felt that it was important to keep things moving, so he could reason out exactly what "things" were quickly.]

Yusuke, if you wished for our attention, you have it.

I would have hunt you down myself, but I had some trouble leaving this place.

[That damn elevator, it was more repelling than he thought.]

Now that you're here, we can get down to business. Remember that barrier I told you about, Kuwabara. I think we can finally go through now. It'd be even easier with Kurama here now.

[Yep. Totally going on like nothing is wrong.]

[ The tension in the air was enough to determine that it wasn't a safe place nor was there a safe Yusuke at the moment. Kuwabara buckled himself in and ready to defend himself if anything happened. He really didn't know what else to do. He didn't want to hurt Yusuke and Yusuke obviously wasn't doing this because he wanted to. Something was wrong and he was going to play it safe for now. Kuwabara would have to leave most of the strategic moves to Kurama. He wasn't a tactician but he was ready to back up his friend if it came down to it.

He would rather avoid a fight right now as well. ]

That means there's seriously somethin' wrong with ya if you can't leave this place.

[ He voiced. Not bothering to hide it anymore. Yusuke was off and he didn't like it. ]

Whaddya mean we can go through now?! Remember you told me that there ain't no way we coulda gone through that barrier even if we used my Jigen Tou. Th' place is impenetrable. It can't be that easy for it ta open up.

[ He's doubting obviously. He can't seem to believe any of this

Exactly what barrier are you referring to?

[He glanced between them with apparent curiosity, and the same air of caution as before. He had no intention of dismantling any barriers without knowing what was being kept and from which side. After a moment, however, he merely shook his head.]

...But perhaps, we are all getting ahead of ourselves.

[He angled his head downward thoughtfully, but his gaze fixed on Yusuke again.]

Kuwabara is correct.

[It was an emphatic statement, though he said it mildly. He didn't want to be rude, but he thought that might carry a stronger meaning.]

Something is wrong, and you are the best person to tell us what that is.

Damn. I didn't want to do this, but I guess you don't leave me any other choice.

[They were just too damn suspicious, but he wouldn't have expected any less from his friends. He'll just have to take them by force. He'll have to take care of the weakest link first, and unfortunately that was Kuwabara. Yusuke seemingly appeared before him before lighting up his first and moving in to strike. Yusuke concentrated his energy in his palm to amplify his attack because he wanted to this be to a short battle.]

It's that barrier thing that keeps us from getting out. Nothin' works on it and even if we tried we'd get nothin out of it!

[ The teen replied lowly as he still had his hands raised in his own defense. Kuwabara didn't think it was the right time to discuss that though. He kept it as simple as possible. ]

[ He didn't know what else to say other than that and keeping his own guard up while making sure Yusuke doesn't try anything with them. When Yusuke went straight for him next and when he saw it was too late to plant his feet on the ground but he brought his hands up to defend himself from the impact while moving backwards with that impact. ]

What the hell are you doing!?!!!!!!! [ He tried to push the other back. ]
