[If you are wandering around Vatheon today, you might see a soaked blond girl. She's just sort of standing there, looking confused.]
Excuse me? [She brushes her wet hair away from her wide blue eyes. This doesn't look like

You're in a place called Vatheon. And...there usually much in the way of monsters here.

[A lot of monsters? That's not good...She frowns and looks up and over at him.] Really? Are they all this small? [Yep, she's pointing at the communicator.]
Reply
If we get them at all, they're usually much bigger. And that? [He smirks.] That's a Starfish Communicator. It's the thing you talk to other people on here. Kinda like a cell phone.
Reply
Twice your size bigger, or bigger than that? [Can you tell she's used to fighting things Yosuke?
She blinks.] So...it's not a monster?
[She tilts her head to a side.] What's a cell phone?
Reply
[. . .] No, it's not a monster. And the last thing we had to fight was a big-ass kraken that just tried to destroy everything. I guess you could say it was way twice our size. But it doesn't happen that often...
[Oh. Well. She doesn't...know what a cell phone is. OKAY how does he do this then...]
Never mind. [He takes the sfc out and holds it up.] You can call other people on it, or even talk to the network. There are voice, video, and text options.

They said the Goddess Martel disappeared because she was so sad, and that she said, "You must wake me, for if I should sleep, the world shall be destroyed" to her angels before she left. Then the angels bore the Chosen One, who was born to journey to the Tower of Salvation to revive the Goddess and regenerate the world.
Except...the Goddess was the Hero and...other things are wrong too. [Like the Chosen One's are born to become Martel's new body and the angels are really her little brother and people he's turned lifeless so that they won't discriminate against half-elves. Well, I don't need to tell him that do I? I don't even know his name...
She pauses.] Does that make sense?
[A blink. It isn't a monster. Are starfish not monsters here?] That's ( ... )

[Yeah, sorry Colette...that's about all he got out of it.]
You're telling me. [Fighters together for life. C: But he does think over her question for a minute--] Think...a giant squid. Or octopus. I don't know what it is, but it was gross.
Exactly like that. Pretty much all of it, but the hologram. I don't think it shows that.
Reply
[...and it's not even correct...]
A giant squid? Does that mean you could eat it? [Wait, it was gross?] ...Maybe no one would want to eat it if it was gross.
[She tilts her head.] Then...where's the video?
Reply
[He has no idea...]
...A friend of mine tried it, I think. He didn't come out too well after that.
[...hm.] Like a moving picture in the device, I guess.
Reply
Oh... [Was it Souji?] Is he better now?
[She thinks for a moment.] So a moving picture in a small window?
Reply
[He doesn't get it, but hey. He'll just...forget about it later anyway.]
Yeah, he's better. [yes it was actually] He was mumbling some weird stuff though...
[He nods.] That's more of a way to think about it.
Reply
Oh, okay. How do you use it?
Reply
Just like...this. [He quickly shows her how to do the things that he had just mentioned, and when he was done, he looked back up.] Make sense?
Reply
[She watches closely and nods.] So you do...[And she does what he showed her but with a couple of mistakes.] this?
Reply
Something like that. Here. [He fixes her mistakes after a moment, and looks over at her when he's done showing it.] Like this instead.
Reply
[She watches as he corrects her and nods, looking back up at him when he finishes.] Okay, I think I got it. Thanks!
